Stoppage of Work at RD31+32 of Reli Minor
Dear Sir,

It is submitted with concern that earthwork activity for making prism was completed
from RD31to RD32 of Reli Minor while a crew of local farmers headed by Mr.Asmat-ullah
Niazi who were loaded with arms, threatened our work force/senior staff and forcefully
stopped the work today (i.e. 20-01-2015) at 1100 hours at the said location in the presence of
your Resident Engineer and our Site Manager. They are demanding for the construction of a
cattle goat in between the subject RDs and have also smashed the prism with their own tools
like kassies, Belchas etc., at that specific location.
Please note that if we don’t construct this portion right now during the running closure
period, it will not be possible for us to construct this reach later on. Thus, we will not be held
responsible, if it creates any problem while the minor is put into operation.

It is also apprised that due to this unpleasant happening at Site, our execution of the Works is
likely to be delayed or disrupted unless a clear cut decision in this regard is taken
immediately. Such delay or disruption will incur additional consequential costs under the
ambit of the Contract.
In view of the foregoing scenario, it is requested to please manage a crew of police guards
through Employer and also ensure the presence of your senior staff at that particular site
within twenty-four hours so that the Works could be completed in the running closure period
without further interruption of the local farmers; otherwise we will not be able to construct
this reach latter on and will not take any responsibility in this regard due to any fault/problem
in this portion while putting this minor in operation.
