USING HAND TOOLS

Background Information for Learners

A tool is a handheld device that aids in accomplishing a task. For every job there is
the right tool. Make sure that you are familiar with the correct use of each tool and that the
correct tool is used for the current task. Skilled use of tools and software makes the job
less difficult and ensures that tasks are performed properly and safely.
In this activity you are going to prepare the correct hand tools used in every current
task.

ACTIVITY 1
Direction: Write TRUE if the statement is correct and FALSE if it is wrong. Write your
answers on a separate sheet of paper.
1. Always examine the tool for damages before use.
