Drilling Programme Mininta 08
WELL OBJECTIVE :
• To provide horizontal drainage point on the D6.2 reservoir in the
Mini-Nta field

Operational objectives
• Deploy and expand 4” ESS across 800ft of horizontal drain holes
• To minimise hole damage and eliminate downtime associated with hole
instability and drilling problems.
• To maintain complete well control at all times.
• To accurately record data which could be used for future well planning, and
to document lessons learned.

Revision 1.1 15-May-2003

Completion….the END or the BEGINNING...
Mission or Objective:
“To optimise the design, future operations and maintenance of
the HC production system (wells) over the field life cycle”

End use of the well is the DRIVER

! for Production or for Injection
! for Data
Thus, in well design, FOCUS on COMPLETION objectives

In the all but especially the final stages of DRILLING,

need to adjust focus from drilling fast to OPTIMISING
the WELL DELIVERABILITY
