Delivery settlement of the contracts expiring on and after May 29, 2020
______________________________________________________________________
MCX vide its Circular no. MCX/TRD/281/2020 dated April 21, 2020 has revised the trading
timings with effect from April 23, 2020. Due to revised restrictive trading timelines for
commodities viz. Cotton, CPO, Kapas and RBD Palmolein upto 5:00 p.m., Members of the
MCX/MCXCCL are notified as under:

1. The timelines for submission of delivery intentions and commodity pay in for Cotton,
Kapas and RBD Palmolein shall be revised upto 3:00 p.m. till further instructions.

2. The staggered delivery tender period for Cotton and RBD Palmolein expiring on May
29, 2020 shall start from May 22, 2020.

3. Revised settlement calendar for the contracts expiring on May 29, 2020 is enclosed
as Annexure 1.

It is reiterated that goods deposited in the warehouses / vaults and electronically available in
the ComRIS (Bullion and Base Metals) and in the CCRL (Agri commodities) shall only be
eligible for delivery on MCXCCL. On the settlement day, the seller accounts will be debited
and buyer account will be credited to the extent of balances earmarked for pay in by sellers.

Due to current situation of lockdown, members are requested to note that:

1) Sellers who fail to earmark pay in of electronic balances in ComRIS/ CCRL account
against their open position shall be treated as seller in default
2) Buyers who are assigned the delivery may not be able to immediately lift the goods
from the warehouses / vaults.
Further, if the spot prices are not available during the staggered delivery period,
replacement cost in the event of delivery default shall not be applied.
Due Date Rate (DDR) shall be determined on the basis of available polled prices. In the
eventuality of unavailability of spot prices during the DDR day / period, MCXCCL shall adopt
the mechanism defined in its Circular No. MCXCCL/SPOT/077/2020 dated April 13, 2020.

Note: 1. Members are requested to refer respective delivery and settlement procedures, latest circulars, notices, bulletin issued by the MCXCCL with respect to delivery settlement schedule etc from time to time for taking any decision.
2. Clearing Member should submit the pay-out distribution file by 1.00 PM on the pay-out date. In absence of any instruction from the Clearing Member, commodity pay-out shall be credited to the Clearing Members account.
