With reference to your application for admission to Ph.D. Programme, you have been called for Written Test/ Interview (Vedio
conference mode) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. The details about the Written Test/Interview (VC mode) and dept link is available
on the Institute website http://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/phd.jsp

Please note:

Candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the required eligibility as per Ph.D. Information Brochure 2020-21 and they process all the
required documents, at the time of Written test/Interview (VC mode) and are already having all the "required documents.

 The ORIGINAL certificates of educational qualification, date of birth, GATE score card (self-attested Xerox copy of GATE score card,
if the original is not available)
 Caste Certificate (OBC-NC/SC/ST), if applicable.
Candidates belonging to OBC-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NC) may show the OBC-NC certificate old certificate. However they may be
attach the latest OBC-NC certificate issued after April 01, 2020 at the time of payment of fees, if selected.
 EWS certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format (if applicable).
(Candidates who have not attached/uploaded EWS certificate in the prescribed format at the time of ‘online application’ are required to
send the latest EWS certificate at the time of payment of fees, if selected).
 Persons with Disability Certificate (for PwD category) (if applicable)
 No Objection certificate from employer (for students admitted in CT/SW/EX/Study Leave category) (if applicable)
 Sponsorship Certificate (for Sponsored / External category students) (if applicable)
 Experience Certificate (if applicable)
 Any other relevant certificate (if applicable)

Please also note:

1. The result of Written Test/Interview (VC mode) will be made available on the Institute website
http://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/phd.jsp. A specimen copy of the “Offer Letter” will be made available on the Institute website If
selected, the admission offer letter will also be sent to the candidates by email.

2. If selected, candidates will be required to confirm their seat by paying the requisite fees (without Hostel Accommodation),and de -
posits Table-A.1: Fees, Deposits & Hostel Rent for Ph.D. Students (subject to revision as per MHRD/ BoG decision) of the Ph.D.. In -
formation Brochure 2020-21 by way of SBI Banking/ CANARA Net Banking through Online payment process.

3. IIT Bombay will NOT provide any hostel accommodation due to paucity of available rooms and restrictions as a result of covid-19 out -
break. Attempts will be made to accommodate them in hostels during the academic year 2021-22, subject to availability and prevailing
covid-19 related restrictions. Furthermore, the instructions and evaluations of courses in autumn and spring semesters 2020-21 are
likely to be in online mode and the selected candidates would require to be fully equipped with the basic facilities to attend to the
same.

4. The Institute reserves the right to withdraw the admission AT ANY TIME, in case the candidate does not fulfill the minimum
qualification/required percentage of marks in qualifying examination or supplies any false information.

5. The interview dates cannot be postponed/ preponed and you must quote your Application ID number in all future correspondence..

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CALL IS MERELY AN INTIMATION FOR WRITTEN TEST/INTERVIEW AND DOES NOT
GUARANTEE ADMISSION.
