NURS736 GROUP DISCUSSION BOARD

Small Group Leader Assignments

There are two (2) Small Group summary activities and a Group Project (select a leader and co-leader). A
different student will lead each activity so that everyone in the group has an opportunity to be the
leader. Group members can decide who will lead each activity or you can list each group member
alphabetically according to the students’ last name to determine the leader assignments. Submit this
completed form below on the Discussion Board under WEEK 2: Small Groups Leader Assignment.

Small Group Leader Responsibilities

For Small Group Summaries:


 Begin and facilitate assigned discussion topic on the GROUP DISCUSSION BOARD.
 Post the initial group discussion board posting and continue to provide postings throughout the discussion
that promote additional consideration of the question/topic at hand.
 Ensure that the discussion continues to advance and develop throughout the week so it does not become
stagnant.
 Post summary of discussion on main classroom Discussion Board.

For Group Project


 Responsible for pulling together all the pieces of the presentation, proof read content and put in final
format.
 One of the co-leaders will post the presentation on the class Discussion Board by the due date.

All students will participate in Small Group discussions. Students are encouraged to read and respond to Group
Summaries posted on the Class Discussion Board.
