Praxis Core Exam Analysis

Exam Requirements

I must pass the Praxis Core Exam to be admitted to UNLV to continue my Bachelor’s degree in

secondary education.

The passing scores are:

Math 150

Reading 156

Writing 162

Exam Preparation

I have read all the links the professor has provided for us, but I have barely studied for the tests. I

will have the whole month of August with no other responsibilities but to study every day for my

praxis test.

Exam Results

I haven’t done well in my initial testing. For math I score 13 correct out of 56 questions. For

reading I scored 23 correct out of 56, and for writing, I scored 19 correct out of 40.  

Future Exam Preparation 


I need a lot of preparation for these tests. For math I am currently taking Math 95, and in fall I

will take Math 120, that should be enough to prepare me for my math test. I am planning to take

my math praxis test right after finishing my math 120 course. For reading and writing I will

definitely practice every day during the month of August, until I am ready for testing.
