Calibration of the lift linkage position sensor must be performed after any of the following events
occur:
• The sensor mount, the lift cylinder, or the lift linkage are disturbed.
Note: The messages that appear on the diagnostic message screen may differ from the messages that
are listed in this procedure.
Reference: For more information on messages that appear on the diagnostic message screen, refer to
the "Calibration Messages" section of Testing and Adjusting, "Glossary of Terms" in this manual.
1. Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Also, the area must be clear so that the bucket can
be fully raised and fully lowered. The machine must be clear of all machines and personnel.

flashing on the display. Press the "OK" key on keypad (1) repeatedly until the hour meter
appears on diagnostic message screen (2) .
7. On the keypad, enter "SERV (7378)" and then press the "OK" key. Press the ">" key until
"LIFT LINK SNSR - CAL" is displayed on the bottom line of the diagnostic message screen.

a. If the screen displays "LIFT LINKAGE SNSR ERR", the problem is with the sensor
circuit. The lift linkage position sensor has one of the following conditions. no signal,
wrong frequency, out of calibration and wiring problem. The problem must be repaired
before the calibration can be completed. The display will advance. Then, press the "OK"
key in order to acknowledge the error.

percent of duty cycle is above the specification. The lift linkage may not be moved to the
correct range. The display will advance. Then, press the "OK" key in order to
acknowledge the error.
