INTRODUCTION
• This installation manual explains the procedures for installing and setting up the DI Print and
Data Writing Service for Fujifilm Digital Minilab FRONTIER Series as well as precautions for its
use.

3 Installation
DI Print Service/Data Writing Software Ver.5.5 can only be operated in the following combination of the system
or other optional software.
IMPORTANT: Printing (including negative printing) cannot be performed during the installation.
IMPORTANT: Before starting the installation, perform the post-operational check, and shut down the FRON-
TIER. Do not shut it down by using the emergency stop button.
IMPORTANT: Before updating the “DI Print/Data Writing Service Software [C4/C5]” from Ver.4.5, Ver.4.6 and
Ver.5.0 to Ver.5.5, make sure that there are no orders in the DI Print [C4] and Data Writing [C5]
services, then close the [C4/C5]. When orders remain in the [C4/C5], complete the printing and
writing first, then start updating.
If you start updating while the orders remain in [C4/C5], they will be deleted.

3.1 Standard Setup/Upgrade
For the upgrade, use the same procedures as for the Standard Setup.
Before starting the installation of the DI Print/Data Writing Service Software [C4/C5], perform the Post-operational
check in FRONTIER and shut it down.
To install the DI Print/Data Writing Service Software [C4/C5] Ver.5.5, the Ver.5.0 software must be installed in the Imag-
ing Controller.

3.4 Backup Order Function
Backup Order Function is the function where you can temporarily store the orders from the external
application (Kiosk, etc.), and later can correct them on the View and Order screen.

except “N” and “R”). This ID is added to the head of the order number.
8 Auto Correct - Disable If this is checked [√], the auto correction is not applied to the image.
9 Help Displays the help screen.
10 Version Info. Displays the version information about this Software.
11 Statistic Log Stores the statistic information for each registered image data file into the FD, and
monitor them.
12 Monitor Adjust Displays the “Monitor Adjust” screen and matches the color balance of the monitor
to the print on the “View and Order” screen.
13 Master Balance Set the color master balance for printing for each print service. Normally set “0”.
14 Media Drive Set the media drives and relate them to the appropriate media icon.
15 Output Device Select the device name of the printer or other devices to be used.
16 Multiple Service Displays the “Multiple Services - Administration” screen.
17 DSC Setting Displays the “DSC Setup Setting” screen, where you can adjust the color, tone and
sharpness settings.
18 [OK] button Makes the settings effective. Control returns to the Printing screen.
19 [Cancel] button Cancels the settings. Control returns to the Printing screen.

4.2.2 Media Drive Setting
Select the name, icon and output path and relate them for each media drive other than the CD-R media. The
following three writing services are registered as default.
Set the media type on this screen, and then make Service Type Settings on the Service Type Setting screen.
(See “4.2.4 Service Type Setting” on page 52.)

4.2.3 Optional Software Setting
On the Writing Service Administration screen, click [Setting] in the Optional Software Setting field to open the
Optional Software Setting screen, on which you can set the FUJIFILM optional software (up to three different
packages).
For example, when using the Digital Photo Center, use the pull-down menu to select “Digital Reorder”, and
then specify “C:\FE\DR\DigitalReorder.exe” as Path for the Optional Software.

4.2.4 Service Type Setting
Use the “Service Type Setting” screen for setting the type of several writing service combination of Media
Type, File Format and Image Size.
On the Writing Service Administration screen, click [Service Type Setting] to open the Service Type Setting
screen.

(1) When selecting “FREE EXPORT” as Media Type, only “Print Size” can be specified as Image Size.
(2) When selecting “FUJICOLOR CD” as File Format, only “4base” as Image Size and “CD-R” as “Media
Type” can be selected.
(3) When selecting “FD” as Media Type, only “1base” can be selected as Image Size.

Digital Photo Center is an in-store order terminal that is connected to the Imaging Controller.

4.6 Multiple Service Setting
The Multiple Service is a service that provides multiple order registration at a time of film scanning
or image entry from the Digital Media. To use this service, register a combination of output devices
beforehand. Use the following procedures to register it.
On the “Print Service - Administration” screen or “Writing Service - Administration” screen, click [Multiple
service] button.

13 [Return] button Returns to the Print Service - Administration screen.

6 Product Information
The product information log can be monitored on the “Log” screen called by clicking the
[Statistic Log] button on the “Order Reception - Administration” screen. These log data stored in
the “C:\FE” folder can also be copied into the FD and can be monitored and analyzed.
