TANG Instructions

TANG is a tool that allows access to OUK network elements from an NSN laptop connected to ASTON. It functions similarly to other connection tools. The tool requires manually entering usernames and passwords for some nodes. To use TANG, you must download the executable file, extract it, edit the configuration file with your credentials, and launch the tool after connecting to ASTON and the DNO-Tech-Supp network. TANG provides views of network elements and alarms and basic element management functionality.

TANG Instructions

What is TANG?
TANG allows access to OUK elements with the exception of the Tekelec Nodes. It is very
similar to KEATerm and Element connections that are used from an OUK laptop. The Lucent
PSAX Nodes and Ericsson SGSN Nodes require manual insertion of usernames & passwords,
although these can be added using the F1, F2, F3 etc buttons.

TANG should only be used on a NSN laptop with access to an ASTON account.
