1.1. GENERAL NOTES


There are certain standard notes which are required for the particular type of drawing as
below. The same need to be checked based on project specific requirements.

FOR ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT LAYOUT:


a) All dimensions are in mm, level/elevation and co-ordinate are in meter unless noted
otherwise.
b) All Electrical installation and erection works shall be carried out in conjunction with the
contract terms & conditions and technical specification.
c) Equipment Size, locations are tentative and the same shall be finalized after receipt of
Vendor drawings [This note is applicable for Preliminary Drawings only]
d) The marked wall & beam shall be constructed after equipment installation. [Where ever
applicable]
e) Equipment located inside hazardous area classification drawing shall be explosion proof
type. [This note is applicable for Hazardous area only]
f) For further Notes & Details, Refer General Notes & Details for Electrical Equipment
Installation, Dwg. No. XXXXXXXXX. (Shall be project specific notes & details)

FOR CABLE TRAY LAYOUT:


a) All dimensions are in mm, level/elevation and co-ordinate are in meter unless noted
otherwise.
b) Standard Bends of following types shall be used for various cable trays unless noted
otherwise.,
a. H Tray - 1200mm
b. M Tray – 1200mm
c. L Tray – 900mm/600mm
d. C Tray – 600mm
e. K tray – 600mm
(Shall be verified with project specific requirement)
c) Route of cable trays shall be changed at site if necessary to avoid fouling (Interference) with
pipes, ducts etc. after obtaining clearance from Electrical site in charge.
d) Wherever less number of above ground cables are bifurcating from main trunk route &
cable tray requirement is less than 100mm than these cables shall be routed using
50x50mm cable tray or suitable size as per site feasibility.
e) Upon completion of the cable tray erection, the contractor shall affix the route point to the
trays as shown on the drawing. The location shall be scaled from this drawing.
f) For further Notes & Details, Refer General Notes & Details for Cable Raceway, Dwg. No.
XXXXXXXXX. (Shall be project specific notes & details)

FOR UNDERGROUND CABLE RACEWAY LAYOUT:

a) All dimensions are in mm, level/elevation and co-ordinate are in meter unless noted
otherwise.
b) Standard Bends of following types shall be used for various conduit s unless noted
otherwise.,
a. H Tray - 1200mm
