Lesson Plan in Science 3
I. Objectives:
A. Science Concept- the ear has different parts . each part has work to do to make
us hear.
III. Procedure:
D. Lesson Proper
1. Motivation
Listen. Do you hear any sounds? Cover your ears with your hands can
you hear sounds clearly?
What makes you hear the sounds around? You have two ears. Each of
them has the same parts.
3. Discussion/ Analysis
3 Main Parts of the Ear
1. Outer Ear- separated from the middle ear by a thin membrane called
eardrum.
- The outer ear has a canal lined with wax and tiny hairs. These keep dust
from entering further into your ear. The canal leads to the middle ear
2. Middle ear- separated from the inner ear by a membrane also. These are
three tiny bones inside the middle ear.
3. Inner ear- the inner ear has coiled tube that look like a snail. This tube
contains fluids.
The sound travels like waves. When the sound waves enter the outer
ear, they pass through the canal and strike the eardrum. When the eardrum
vibrates itt moves or vibrates, it moves the tiny bones nearest to it. This
bones in turn move the second bone, which turn the third bone.
The third bone touches the membrane between the middle ear.
When the this membrane vibrates , the fluid of the coclea moves the nerve
cells , optic nerve then send the message to the brain, which tell what you
hear.
4. Concept Formation- The ear has different parts. Its part has work to to make us
hear. It also help you keep your balance
5. Application
_____1. It vibrates and the three bones in the middle ear move one after the another.
