PART - A

1. Identify the ingredients in concrete and their functions.


2. Write chemical composition of ingredients in cement.
3. Explain the term water cement ratio.
4. List out the classification of aggregates.

PART – B
(Maximum Marks : 18)
Answer any three of the following questions. Each question carries 6 marks.
Assume suitable data.

1. Explain alkali aggregate reaction in concrete.


2. Describe the procedure for conducting abrasion tests on aggregates.
3. Explain hydration of cement.
4. State the quality of water used for concreting.

PART – C
(Maximum Marks : 24)
Answer all questions. Each full question carries 12 Marks.
Assume suitable data.
