About this document:


The objective of this feature is to measure the correct weight or volumetric weight of a
product. This document describes changes milkrun receiving and dispatch panels so that we
can measure the accurate weight of the product.

Who will be using this feature?


This feature will be available to the following teams and stakeholders within ShopClues:

1. FC teams (Receiving, Manifest).


2. Basic Merchants
3. FO Team

What is the process?


1.1.1.1 Process to Be Followed By FC Teams
Receiving Screen:

If the product could be shipped in box types smaller than or equal to SC06, then the normal
weight of that product should be updated while receiving.

Else, the volumetric check should be marked. The measurement for these orders will be
done during manifest process.

If the product is not fit in box type SC06 or smaller than SC06, then please mark volumetric
check. Its measurement is done during manifesting. No need to enter its weight on receiving
panel.

The weight could only be entered within the range of 10% of the weight displayed on the
panel.

If the user enters the weight beyond 10% range, then an error message is thrown to the user
as shown below:

Click on submit to complete the receiving.

Creation and Dispatch of the Orders

Manifest & Dispatch Creation Process:

After printing the shipping label and order details, the manifest process starts. There is a
slight change in manifest creation process.

Goto: Fulfillment Create Manifest

Select the courier:

Type or Scan the order ID:

If the product’s length, width and height is greater than 7, 7 and 9 inches respectively, then
check the box i.e. “Check If volumetric”.

Enter the length, width and height of the product in centimeters and click on ‘Save’. On
clicking save, the entry on right hand side (highlighted in Black Color) will be populated.

If the scanned order is normal weight order, then enter the weight in grams and click save.

The entry will be populated on Right hand side. If the product scanned is a volumetric
product, then enter the length, width and height in centimeters and click on ‘Save’.

Now, click on “Generate Manifest”.

Verify the orders, weights and other details on the following screen and click on “Generate
Manifest”.

Now, click on “Dispatch Manifest”.

Enter the details of the pickup boy and click on “Dispatch”.

Click on “Export to CSV” and “Export to PDF”. Take two print outs and handover one to
courier and take his signature on your PDF for proof.

What are the changes in Shipment Creation from View Order
Details Screen?
Go to order details screen.

Click on New Shipment:

Enter the details of the order i.e. courier by which the order is dispatched, awb number.

Weight of the product is mandatory. If the product is volumetric, please check the box and
enter length, breadth and height of the product in centimeters.

Else, enter the weight of the product in grams.

After entering all the details mentioned above, click on “Create” to dispatch the order and
mark it as “Shipped” in the system.
