Setting up your new E6 Universal System.

1. Remove the top cover of the E6 by unscrewing the two bottom screws.

2. Before inserting a SIM card, ensure that the pin number is removed from that SIM. (i.e. Insert the SIM into any mobile phone
and disable the request for a SIM pin).

3. Insert the SIM card into the SIM slot of the E6 as indicated. (Note Programming must be sent to [email protected])

4. Insert the GSM antenna into the allocated socket at the back of the E6 panel. (The GSM engine will be
damaged if not inserted before powering the unit.)

5. Connect the wires from the power cable into the 7AH 12V battery as follows: Red into 12vDC positive. Black into 12vDC
Negative and Blue into Mains Signal.

6. Connect the D-type connector of the harness into the allocated socket at the back of the E6 panel.

7. Using a length of twinflex cable, insert the one point of the twinflex cable into the 1st AC slot and the second point on
the same side of the cable into the 2nd AC slot of the Transformer.
8. Using the other end of the twinflex cable, insert one point of the twinflex cable into 16 VAC IN on the 12V Battery. Insert the
second point on the same side of the cable into the other 16 VAC IN on the 12V Battery.

9. Connect the internal siren to the harnass connector block by inserting the gray wire into the orange wire on the connector
block & the black to the Green & Yellow on the same connecter block.

Orange = +
Green & Yellow = -

10. Connect the outdoor siren to the harnass connector block by inserting the red wire to the + white wire on the connector
block & the black wire to the - White wire on the same connector block.

Reading in the devices.


Reading in the 3 button keyring remote.
1. Open the Panel.
2. Inside is a small white push button (Learn Button) and next to this switch is an LED.

3. Using the screwdriver press and hold the learn button for about 20 seconds.The LED will switch on and then after about 20
second it will switch off. You have now cleared the memory of the E6.
4. You will now need the keyring remote.
5. Press and release the learn button. The learn LED will switch on.
6. Press and release the yellow button of the keyring remote.
7. The learn LED will now switch off.
8. Press and release the yellow button on the keyring remote again.
9. The learn LED will now flash for about 5 seconds.
10. Press and release the yellow button on the keyring remote again.
11. The E6 should now click twice and the Away LED should switch off.

The keyring remote is now learnt into the E6. If you have more remotes go to step 5
above for each remote. Remember to always leave the E6 in the off mode (use the Yellow button) while
reading in the sensors.

Reading in the Old PIR01.


1. Open the PIR sensor.
2. Identify the two pins for test transmit and the DIP switch.
3. Remove the shunt which is on one of the two test transmit pins (TX indicated on board) it is not needed.
4. Set the zone on the Dipswitches (refer to Dipswitch settings in "Reading in devices").
5. Now press the learn button on the E6. The learn LED should switch on.
6. On the PIR, using your screwdriver, bridge (connect together) the two TX
pins and the LED of the
sensor should switch on and stay on for 3 to 4 seconds after you remove the bridge.
7. The E6 learn LED should switch off.
8. Bridge the two transmit pins again, just for a second.
9. The learn LED should flash for about 5 seconds.
10. Bridge the two transmit pins again, just for a second.
11. The Zone LED on the E6 frontplate will bright up on the Zone that was selected
in Step 4 and it will go off two seconds later.
12. If the Zone LED does not switch on, repeat the procedure from Step 5.

Follow the same procedure from Step 1 for other standard Passive infra red sensors.
Reading in the Mini PIR03
1. Open the PIR sensor.
2. Identify the Learn Button and the DIP Switch.
3. Connect the Battery. The connector can only go one way.
4. Set the zone on the Dipswitches (refer to Dipswitch settings in "Reading in devices").
5. Press the Learn Button and check that the LED of the sensor comes on and stay's on for 2 to
3 seconds after you release the button.
6. Now press the learn button on the E6. The learn LED should switch on.
7. Press the Learn button on the sensor.
8. The E6 learn LED should switch off.
9. Once again press the learn button.
10. The E6 learn LED should flash for about 5 seconds.
11. Once again press the learn button on the sensor.
12. The Zone LED on the E6 frontplate will bright up on the Zone that was selected
in Step 4 and it will go off two seconds later.
13. If the Zone LED does not switch on, repeat the procedure from Step 6.

Follow the same procedure from Step 1 for other long range Passive infra red sensors.

Reading in the Door Guard (DG)


1. Remove the 2 screws of the DG.
2. Open the back cover and identify the DIP switch on the Board.
3. Set the zone on the Dipswitches (refer to Dipswitch settings in "Reading in devices").
4. Close the box but do not insert the screws.
5. On this DG the panic button is used to learn the device into the E6.
6. Now press the learn button on the E6. The learn LED should switch on.
7. Press and release the panic button on the DG.
8. The E6 LED should switch off.
9. Press and release the panic button on the DG again.
10. The E6 learn LED should flash for about 5 seconds.
11. Now take the Magnet and place it next to the DG in the position that is marked with a stripe.
12. Remove the magnet and the DG LED should come on.
13. At the same time the Zone LED on the E6 frontplate will bright up on the Zone that was
selected in Step 3 and it will go off two seconds later.

Follow the same procedure from Step 1 for other standard Door Guards.
