Challenge
As part of the modernization of the Reichwalde open-cast mine,
Vattenfall wanted to ensure the highest levels of reliability and
efficiency for its machines and electrical equipment

Solution
Thanks to Integrated Drive Systems, Vattenfall benefits from
energy and maintenance cost savings of up to 12 percent – at an
availability rate of 98 percent. The integrated drive systems are

With a load capacity of 8,000 metric tons, the liftboat can carry up to seven 6 MW

Siemens has received two contracts from SMOE and DetNorske
for the development of the Ivar Aasen field in the North Sea. First
oil production is scheduled for Q2 2016. Siemens will deliver a complete EICT package

delivery is planned for December 2014.
