Reliability Improvement Fake News: Terrence O

The document discusses the concepts of inherent reliability versus reliability improvement. It states that reliability is determined by the initial design, build, and commissioning of an asset, and is not about continuous improvement. However, reliability strategies and maintenance plans can be improved, and assets can be modified to enhance reliability. It provides 10 steps for achieving reliability, including understanding inherent reliability, creating preventive maintenance plans, developing reliability leaders, and focusing on both technology and people development.
