Scalgun B
Please note that time temperature and concentration are interdependent on each other, thus
set the parameters accordingly.
EQUIPMENT :
Plastic or FRP lined M.S. tanks/containers should be used. Where heating of the bath is required
then Teflon coated electric immersion heater should be used or external heating can be employed,
but care should be taken that temperature does not exceed 45C.
II. SWABBING/BRUSHING
Concentration:- For heavy contamination : 1:1 or 1:2 with water
For medium contamination : 1:3 or 1:4 with water
For light contamination : 1:5 or 1:6 with water
Prepare above solution of SCALGUN-B in a Plastic Container or FRP lined MS tank, then dip
brush or cloth in this solution and apply on the contaminated surface and leave solution for 2 to 5
minutes till surface is completely clean then wipe clean with cloth soaked in water. For removal of
heavy soils, scrubbing or wire brushing is advisable. This will speed up soil removal. This process
can also be adopted before dipping process in cases of heavily soiled surfaces to extend life and
strength of bath solution of dipping tank.
