Traffic Discovery
Traffic discovery detects and identifies traffic running on a network and displays names of all the
applications and protocols used on your network in the form of Traffic tree.
Tree represents application traffic traveling inbound and outbound. Applications listed under WAN
initiated column represent a request for data from external servers or responses of data from internal
servers to outside requests. Applications listed under LAN initiated column represent the data being
transmitted from outside servers to the LAN or requests for data from internal servers.
In addition to these classification, real time, historical and trend reports are useful in analyzing network
traffic to identify the source of network problems. These reports allows you to see which applications
and users are responsible for congestion.
