Event Manager Job Descriptions:
 Meet clients to determine objective and req. for the planned event
 Plan and developed program, itineraries, budget and service according to the client’s
requirement
 Coordinate with the organizing committee and sponsors to plan scope and format of events
 Draft specifications and select supplies for event req.
 Monitor event activities
 Check event bills for accuracy and approve payment
Event Manager Job Qualifications:
 Knowledge
o Process in planning, strategies and evaluation an event including knowledge of the
technical aspects of show production
o Principles and processes for providing customer services; including needs, assessment,
meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
o Administrative and clerical procedures forms, and other office procedures
o Marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques and sales
control system
o Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation,
human resources management, leadership techniques, production methods and
coordination of people and resources
 Skills
o Proficiency (oral and written) in the language spoken by the client, target participants
and local suppliers: including knowledge of the rules of grammar, active, listening and
effective speaking
o Use of critical thinking to identify the strengths and weakness of alternatives solutions,
conclusion or approaches to problems
o Coordination being able to adjust one’s actions in relation to another’s action
o Being aware of others reaction and understanding why they react as they do
o Use the judgment and sensible decision making even for complex problems
o Actively looking for ways to help and be of service to people
o Time management
o Assessing performance with a view toward corrective action
 Abilities
o Creativity and originality or the ability to come up with fresh or clever ideas about a
