SECTION 2: COMPOSITION

NARRATIVE WRITING.
School trips leave a great impact in the mind of the student, where he goes
with his friends and colleagues, which allow him to rely on himself and take
responsibility and enjoy the activities of the trip. Each school planning for trips is
as a recreational and educational way, supervised by teacher.

Last week, my school decided to visited the Royal Brunei Armed Forces
Defence Academy, which located in Mentiri. It took about 1 hour to arrive there.
We went there by bus which sponsored by the school principal. As we arrived
there, we entered the main hall to hear some speech from the Army which still not
entered the hall. When they entered the room, we were impressed by what they
were wearing. All of them wore green uniform. The speech took about thirty-
minutes.

After the talk we were divided into two group, so we can save time. I was
in group one and we went to the army`s training field. As we arrived there, I can
saw many facilities for training for example flying fox, tunnel with muddy field.
We tried some facilities and it was fun.

Next, we were gathered in front of the army`s food exhibition. I am really


impressed by how the food was cooked, it cooked with just poured water in the
packet. The food actually tasted good and there were many kind of it, such as
spaghetti, fried rice and porridge. Finally, it`s time for us to eat. There was various
kind of food. I get to eat healthy sandwiches and bottle of water.

Later, we gathered in front the main hall and took picture together with the
armies. The teacher checked everyone’s presence and then we boarded our bus and
went back to school.

It was a such a beautiful day we enjoyed it a lot and it such a memorable.


We learned a lot about the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, about their history. We
also learned on how do the armies trained. I think with this visit, student will get
inspired to study and achieve their ambition.
