1 Preface
This information contains all information required for setting the system up with
SIWAREX FTC Getting Started.
Additionally for the function block FB43, scale-DB and vector-DB there is a
demo-software showing the setup work required for the SIWAREX FTC in
SIMATIC S7. This demo-software may be changed, copied or expanded. Any
claims resulting from the use of the demo-software are excluded.
Do you have more questions concerning the use of SIWAREX FTC? Then please
contact your Siemens representative in the office or business location that is
responsible for your area or technical support for SIWAREX Tel.: +49 (0)721 595
2811.
Updated information on SIWAREX Weighing Technology can be found on the
respective Internet Site.

2 Scope of Delivery
The project is setup for the CPU 315 and Touch Panel TP270, and therefore
consists of two components:
- STEP7 Software for the SIMATIC CPU 315
- ProTool software for the TP270.
Both parts can be used with other devices:
- STEP7 software with all CPUs of series S7-300 and S7-400.
- ProTool software can be converted into devices TP/OP/MP 270/370.
The messaging system based on ALARM_S or the bit message system is also
used. In this way the messages from SIWAREX FTC are displayed to the operator.
For configuration you need the basic equipment additionally - the configuration
package SIWAREX FTC for SIMATIC S7 (order number 7MH4900-3AK02). This
configuration package consists of the following:
- SIWATOOL FTC commissioning program for Windows
- Set-up for the installation of the module in the SIMATIC Manager hardware
catalog
- Getting started software for operating the SIWAREX FTC in SIMATIC S7
- Device manuals in several languages
- Set-up for PCS7 Library (configuration package for PCS7 only)
3 Overview
3.1 General
3.2 Benefits
SIWAREX FTC Getting Started is the optimal solution anywhere that direct
measuring technology integration in the automation system is advantageous. Flow
rate measurement is then a component of complex processes which are controlled
by the automation system.
3.4 Structure
3.5 Function
4.1 General
The description for the operator should describe the operation and monitoring of
the measuring installation. The description corresponds with the current status of
the SIWAREX FTC Getting Started software.
The descriptions of the individual parameters and functions are in the SIWAREX
FTC manual and are not explained individually with the individual images from
SIWAREX FTC Getting Started.
All of the available images are indicated in this product info.
The program starts immediately with the view of flow rate value (start view). The
start screen can be defined with another image with a customer logo.
The operator can perform operations and monitoring from the flow rate view image.
In the left-hand part and in the right-hand side of the image, the current status is
shown.
In the center of the image, you will find the main display and in the lower area, the
function actuation buttons (for the touch panel).
The explanation of the function of the buttons is found in chapter: Meaning of the
Function Keys 4.8.
Commisioning the module the solid flow meter operation mode has to be selected.

5 Project Installation
The SIWAREX FTC Getting Started software is parametered for operation with a
one solid flow meter. The project is setup for the CPU 315 and TP270.
First, the SIWAREX FTC module has to be installed in the HW config. Run the
setup program from the SETUP_FOR_SIMATIC_S7 directory of the planning
package SIWAREX FTC for S7 (order number 7MH4900-3AK02). Afterwards, you
can find the SIWAREX FTC under the FM modules for the S7 300 system.
If you are using the same SIMATIC CPU 315, you an simply load the module from
the project into the CPU. The program can be run immediately afterward.
If you are using a different CPU, the hardware must be planned in the HW_Konfig
first. The CPU 315 must be deleted first and replaced with the new CPU. When
asked whether the program should also be deleted, enter "No".
Then transfer the program modules (FBs, FCs, OBs, DBs but not the SDB) to the
module folder in the new CPU.
If you use AlarmS messaging system you are warned that the message block
(FB1) must be generated again.Generating FB1 is done in the new project in OB1
as follows:
Delete the instancing data block of FB1 (DB1) and call the FB1 again. The
generation of the new message numbers can then take several minutes.
The commands are controlled by the appropriate function FC30. Using function
FC30 the commands can be executed on the module by three different job slots
with different priorities.
CMD1 has the highest priority, CMD3 the lowest.
Calling the command manager is done in the OB1. The commands are actuated
through various points in the program:
The input variable s_CMD1 contains the command code and the control bits for the
command handling.
If FC30 is used as a Command Manager the commands may not be transferred
directly to SIWAREX FTC by calling the FB43 but by the structure CMD1, CMD2,
CMD3.
Calling the FB SIWA_FTC is done in the OB1. The FB is called with the following
parameters:
CALL "SIWA_FTC" , DB 16 (
ADDR := 256,
DB_SCALE := 21,
DB_VECTOR := 20,
CMD_IN := "DB_SCALE".i_CMD_INPUT,
SIM_VAL := "DB_SCALE".r_SIM_VALUE,
ANA_OUT := "DB_SCALE".r_ANALOG_OUT_VALUE,
DO_FORCE := "DB_SCALE".b_DIG_OUTPUT_FORCE,
TRANSITION := "DB_SCALE".b_Reserve,
CMD_INPR := "DB_SCALE".bo_CMD_IN_PROGRESS,
CMD_FOK := "DB_SCALE".bo_CMD_FINISHED_OK,
CMD_ERR := "DB_SCALE".bo_CMD_ERR,
CMD_ERR_C := "DB_SCALE".b_CMD_ERR_CODE,
REF_COUNT := "DB_SCALE".b_INFO_REFRESH_COUNT,
PROC_VAL1 := "DB_SCALE".r_PROCESS_VALUE1,
PROC_VAL2 := "DB_SCALE".dw_PROCESS_VALUE2,
SC_STATUS := "DB_SCALE".dw_SCALE_STATUS,
ERR_MSG := "DB_SCALE".bo_ERR_MSG,
ERR_MSG_TYPE := "DB_SCALE".b_ERR_MSG_TYPE,
ERR_MSG_C := "DB_SCALE".b_ERR_MSG_CODE,
FB_ERR := "DB_SCALE".bo_FB_ERR,
FB_ERR_C := "DB_SCALE".b_FB_ERR_CODE,
START_UP := "DB_SCALE".bo_START_UP_IN_PROGRESS,
CMD_EN := "DB_SCALE".bo_CMD_ENABLE,
ERR_MSG_Q := "DB_SCALE".bo_ERR_MSG_QUIT);
5.5 Alarms
! Note
When using the "Getting Started" package, ensure that after removing the display
device e.g. TP270 from the system in online operation, no more alarms are
generated. After connecting the des TP270 to the system again, the SIMATIC CPU
must be started in RUN again.
Of course, the user can delete these program sections and use his own message
system.
If you are using the CPU 315 and TP270, the program is immediately ready for
operation after loading onto the TP270. When loading via the MPI interface, use
the MPI address=1 for the TP270, for the CPU MPI address=2.
If you are using another CPU, the project must be integrated into the new
environment.
Select the controller from the Controllers menu in ProTool and link the controller for
the communication with the OP/TP in the Parameter menu.
Then, activate the Restore symbol in the Edit menu.
In the last step, the project must be loaded to the target OP/TP.
If another SIMATIC-HMI device is used, the project must be integrated into the new
environment.
After activating the menu for the project conversion, you are presented with a list of
possible target devices. Select the device from the list and perform the conversion.
The following procedures are handled as they are when using a new CPU – see
Planning another CPU 5.7.1.
