BUSINESS COMMUNICATION

1.) Give me an example of a time when you were able to


successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work?
During my graduation days the final examination is about to start and
Income Tax is the first paper so from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM we use to
gather in my house for group study and everyone is practising the
practical problems. After some time they got stucked in a question
which requires a lot of time and I am the only person who has solved
that problem quickly as they are using the long method which requires a
lot of time and can be substituted by a short-cut method. Thus, I
demonstrated that question in a short-cut manner in order to save the
time.

2.) Describe a time when you were the resident technical expert.
What did you do to make sure everyone was able to
understand you?

3.) Tell me about a time when you had to rely on written


communication to get your ideas across to your team?
During my graduation days the final examination is about to start and

practical problems. After some time everyone got stucked in one
question and I am the only person who has solved that problem so I
verbally explained them but they are not able to understand finally I
have to write and then explain it.

4.)Give me an example of a time when you had to explain


something fairly complex to a frustrated client. How did you
handle this delicate situation?
I am currently pursuing PGDM in 3rd semester so I haven’t faced any
frustrated client like this.
For handling this delicate situation I would acknowledge other person’s
anger quickly, keep calm on my anger too and deal him with soft voice
tone.

5.)Tell me about a successful presentation you gave and why you


think it was a hit?
During my graduation days I gave a presentation on the topic “Right to
Information”. It was a huge hit because our team has practised various
times and everyone is very confident enough to deliver their thoughts.
The listeners also applauded a lot for us and they also give high ratings
for our performance.
