“Teenagers are too young to teach other people about anything”

I think that to believe teenagers are too young to teach other people about
anything it is a wrong. It is true that teenagers in the middle of puberty can
often be too childish. Some of them can even be very problematic because it is
a very complex period of life and strange and extravagant behaviors can be
appeared here. Common sense may not be very present in some cases.
However, I am not agree with the headline. Teenagers can teach adults a lot.
For example, most teenagers have a great deal of knowledge about technology
that can transfer older people. In our town, there are special centres called
Guadalinfo where young people teach older people not only how to use
computers, but also many other technology-related skills. Yeah, that's right,
their teachers are teenagers.
Moreover, the technology in these training centers goes beyond the mere
knowledge or handling of devices and programs. Adults are taught by
teenagers to apply this technology to issues as relevant as the environment.
Would you like a weekend of hiking in the Sierra Nevada? Marcos teaches
Claudio how to program a route through his mobile phone. Don't know where
to find an organic food store? Lorena helps Marta use an application that allows
her to contact “The Vegetable House”, a cutting-edge business in sustainable
economics.
To sum up, I can say that teenagers have great knowledge in many fields and
they also have a lot of social conscience to help older people. Therefore, we
cannot ignore that our young people are the door to encourage new knowledge
among adults. In my opinion, of course we must take advantage of the fact
that they are digital natives to grow ourselves in new knowledge. The age
doesn’t matter.
