We use adjectives to give more information about a noun or pronoun.


Adjectives can describe taste, touch, sound, size, shape,
appearance, amounts and emotion. Most adjectives can be used
before a noun.

• They have a small dog.


• He has big hands.

Adjectives can also be used after a link verb like be, look or feel.

• The dog is small.


• His hands are big.
