Classification of Nouns

Let us see in detail about proper nouns and common nouns.


COMMON NOUNS:
Common nouns are names given in common to every person or thing of the same
class or kind.

PROPER NOUNS:
Proper nouns are nouns that refer to a person, place or thing that is specific. It
refers to a particular person or place.
The first letter of a proper noun is always capitalized.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF VERBS:
Verbs are also called action words.

A verb is a word that expresses an action or a state of being.

Examples:

jump drink read

Hari laughs.

The dogs bark.

Tina was scolded by her mother.

They broke the window.

KINDS OF VERBS:

Verbs can be regular or irregular.

Regular Verbs:

Verbs are said to be regular if their past tense form is obtained by just adding “ed”.

Examples:

Irregular verbs:

Verbs are said to be irregular if their past tense form is spelled in a different way
without adding “ed”.
