Introduction
Complete Installation
The installed software can be found in the application’s root directory or folder: EeproTM70 > eepro
TM70.exe; as well as the readme.txt file, containing several explanations about the application.
After finishing the program setup process the default folder architecture becomes as follows:
AuxBin there are several files that are used by the program.
DATOS is the default address for .eep files corresponding to TM60 systems (MS DOS version) it is
recommended to place them there to avoid possible errors typing the paths in MS DOS.
Lng The folder contains the character strings to support several languages stored in the file
“default.lng” which is always loaded when running the software.

Introduction
Click in “About programmer…” option and the following dialogue box appears:
If you do require to enter a new License number on an existing EEPROM programmer, by clicking Insert
new License number, you will be allowed to insert the new License number that may have been
assigned.
Read EEPROM
Selecting this option, the content of the Eeprom inserted into the AP70 module can be read.
Depending of the EEPROM type connected to the AP70 module the program will detect and perform the
task. On the main Window press Read EEPROM. After the reading has taken place, the following
messages can appear:
There is an EP70 EEPROM and the content has been read correctly.
If any of the messages below appear, it means: There is no EEPROM connected on the socket, the
EEPROM chip is erased or Data is corrupted.
By clicking Read EEPROM button the information in the EEPROM file, inserted in the TM70 EEPROM
recorder, is read.
The information which has been read is shown in the corresponding boxes and resides in memory. If it
does not exist any previously loaded EEPROM, confirmation will not be requested, but if there is already
one EEPROM information in memory, yes. This is because, in this operation, the current content in the
recorder is lost if it was not saved previously.
Program EEPROM
By Clicking on the Program EEPROM button, the EEPROM file that is stored on the programmer will be
programmed on the EEPROM chip inserted on the EEPROM programmer socket.
The following messages can appear:
This means the EEPROM file has been burnt on the EEPROM chip correctly.
This means there has been some failure when burning the EEPROM chip and it has not been burnt.
Open File
When you click on the button, a warning will pop up as follows:
When loading a new file from the computer data stored on the EEPROM programmer is lost. If you want
to have that Data stored on a file, you will need to save it first. If this is not the case, click Yes.
A window will appear where you can browse to select the file to be loaded (accessing the directory where
it is saved).
It is recommended to always save EEPROM files in the same directory and using the equipment serial
number as a name to make it easier to find them in the future.
Select the right EEPROM file you do require, and click open. Once you have completed the operation, you
will see whether it has been successful or not.
Save File
By clicking on Save file, you can save what is currently on the screen in an EEPROM file.
By clicking on this button, a dialogue box appears allowing to browse and to select the directory where
the file is going to be saved (entering its name).
It is advisable to save always EEPROM files in the same directory using the equipment serial number as a
reference name to make it easier to find it in the future.
If any changes have been performed it is advisory to save the file with a revision of it such that the
original file can be retrieved.
Once the operation has been completed, the software will advert whether it has been successfully
performed or not.
By clicking this button the program allows to open the screen in which text can be edited in the display
(for configurations with display):
The “Char List” contains several characters which can be used for writing the text to be shown in the
display (2lines x 12 characters max.). Two lines of text can be written, filling in the two boxes for this
purpose. This Text will appear at the time of starting the system. Its purpose is to identify the machine
that is to be used with the transmitter.
Import Table
The Import Table button allows using the windows explorer tool, to select another EEPROM that it was
previously recorded and to load the assigned inputs/outputs that it had been configured (relay table).
The imported table must have the same type of receiver in order that this option is going to be able to be
performed. Only Relay configuration is changed. If the system does have analogue outputs, these will not
be changed.
If the receiver of the EEPROM serial number which Relay configuration want to be imported is different
model than the original one, it will not allow you to import the table configuration.
C Caution
This ID table can not be changed, but it does inform you if the system does have additional transmitters
and/or receivers.
Modifying Masks
This button allows to adapt the masks of the hand held transmitters in order to be able to configure
"push buttons" where before there were "selectors" and vice-versa.
After Clicking “Modify Mask” the hand held transmitter Layout will appear as it was manufactured. On this
example there was a selector switch on Position 10. We click on Positions 7 and 8 to add a selector switch.
After clicking Apply, a window will pop up explaining the Hardware modifications needed to place a
selector switch instead of the existing push button.
When replacing a Push button with a Selector Switch you need to remove the bridge as shown on the
window on the respective positions. This modification will be on the active table that is selected.
Selecting the “Analogue outputs” option from the main Menu, the software allows to modify the
following parameters for each analogue output.
On the Tab Configurable output, you can select each proportional output of the system:
ACCELERATION 0.0s, 0.1s, 0.2s, 0.3s, 0.4s, 0.5s, 0.6s, 0.8s, 1.0s, 1.2s, 1.5s, 1.7s, 2.0s, 2.5s, 3.5s, 5.0s
RAMP Time in seconds of each ramp. Minimum, maximum and pre-defined values
DECELERATION 0.0s, 0.1s, 0.2s, 0.3s, 0.4s, 0.5s, 0.6s, 0.8s, 1.0s, 1.2s, 1.5s, 1.7s, 2.0s, 2.5s, 3.5s, 5.0s
RAMP Time in seconds of each ramp. Minimum, maximum and pre-defined values
Output values can be determined in % respect to the initial value and maximum value per semi axis,
being Min- and Min+ The initial output value per semi axis (Negative and Positive) and Max- and Max+
the maximum output value per semi axis.
Selecting the Curve Tab, you can select among linear curve and three different exponential curves, the
curve is displayed on the central diagram.
Once all the values have been selected, you can Export the analogue configuration to an external file,
such that it can be reused on another system by importing the configuration. This possibility is good for
prototyping until the final analogue configuration is fine tuned.
Once all the analogue output parameters are configured press “Ok” to update them or press “Cancel” to
leave without updating the modified values.
Exit
By clicking on the Exit button to leave the program, the programmer will be switched off.
TM60/RAD Programmer
This option will execute the TM60/RAD compatible programmer, window without loading any EEPROM
information.
Press the corresponding character to execute the selected option. As these systems have been
discontinued, the only use at present on this programmer is to Read EEPROM files from old Systems that
may require upgrading to TM70 systems.
exit (F)
Configurable Parameters
It is possible to modify some of the values of the EEPROM using the TM70 EEPROM recorder program as
shown below:
• By clicking on the Infinite box option, the transmitter will not disconnect due to inactivity (the
default value for infinite is shown, which is 6553.5 seconds).
• By clicking again on the Infinite box, the standard value of 240 seconds is configured again, and this
time can be modified up to a maximum of 6553.5 seconds.
Depending on the system configuration, you are able to select the band width in which the system will
work:
• Transceiver 1 bands from 860 to 930 MHz
• Transceiver 2 bands from 430 to 450 MHz
Primarily the Base channel in which the system will transmit can be changed. The Work channel should
be kept to the system value, as it is used for Tandem and Multiple Transmitter systems.
Configurable Parameters
When we are working with Multiple transmitter systems, the Base channel should be the same for all of
them and the Work channel should be different. Each channel is separated 25 kHz from the previous one,
and after selecting the Base channel, the corresponding frequency will show up on the Frequency Box. It
is recommended to change these values together with the channel frequency list.
The maximum value of the Base Channel depends on the frequency range selected in the EEPROM file
which has been loaded or read before. The Max Value is shown on the Max. Box.
The Initial Scanning on Transmitter option allows the user to enable or to disable this function.
Enabling this feature the transmitter is able to start in the first free working channel in the selected range
by EEPROM.
For example:
The programming a base channel value of 7 and a working channel value of 1, the radio remote system
will start up on channel 8 (base channel number + working channel number).
Tele-alignment Activation
Tele-aligment (Teleteaching) option can be enabled (by clicking on) or disabled (by clicking off) in the
following check box.
There are some dialogue boxes (fields) that cannot be modified; but they show practical information.
Serial Number
It displays the equipment serial number.
.EEP.XML Files
These files contain all the information about the configurable parameters of the TMX0 range systems.
These files have a double extension:
• .eep because these files are recorded into the TM70 EEPROMs format.
• .xml because data is recorded in this format (xml compatible format -> they cannot be easily
modified using a text editor).
The content of this files can be displayed using any “xml” format viewer (e.g. Internet Explorer, etc…)
but the content cannot be modified. The only tool which allows to modify the EEPROM parameters
is the EEPROM programmer and the System Configurator.
It has also stored a date and identification number, in order to keep its traceability.
The AP70 hardware is prepared to setup TM60 / RAD / RMJ / TM70 and TM80 EEPROM parameters.
