Using Internet

The document compares the mission statements of three Philippine fast food chains: Jollibee, McDonald's, and Chowking. Chowking's mission statement emphasizes cleanliness, professional service, and treating customers and staff with respect and dignity. While it mentions using quality ingredients, it does not emphasize taste as much as Jollibee and McDonald's, whose missions focus on serving great tasting food. However, Chowking's mission better reflects the importance of clean premises and good customer treatment in the food industry. Overall, the document expresses a preference for Jollibee's mission statement.

1. Using the internet, obtain the mission statements of the three businesses.

Compare and
contrast the three. Are there certain elements of each that you like or don’t like? Which do
you prefer? Explain.

 Mission Statement of:

Jollibee - To serve great tasting food, bringing the joy of eating to everyone.
McDonald - To serve the Filipino community by providing great-tasting food
and the most relevant customer delight experience.
Chowking - To ensure that each guest at chowking orient receives prompt,
professional, friendly and courteous service. To maintain a clean,
comfortable and well maintained premises for our guests and staff. To
provide at a fair price – nutritional, well-prepared meals- using only quality
ingredients while ensuring that all guest and staff are treated with the respect
and dignity that deserve.

Jollibee, McDonald, and Chowking are one of the famous fast-food chains in the country,
rendering people with great services and serving them with scrumptious foods. But after
considering the mission of the three businesses having the same kind of industry mentioned
above, it is undeniably Chowking will be placed on top. I like how Chowking indicates on their
mission how they value the cleanliness of their premises, and how they should treat their
customer the way it be, not just their customer but also their staff, indeed, it is necessary for a
certain food industry to have that kind of mission. On the other hand, the things which I’m not
really particular with, is that they didn’t indicate how tasty, and craving their food are, instead
they states it is nutritious and well-prepared, and using high quality ingredients, but it doesn’t
lead to foods having a great taste. It seems for me that Chowking didn’t value the taste, but they
value the health, and how they prepare the food, but in the end it’s up to the customer how they
find the taste of Chowking foods. While Jollibee and McDonald happen to have the same
mission, they want people to experience pleasure through serving great tasting food. Meanwhile,
it didn’t state how they serve their customer, and how they maintain the cleanliness, just like
Chowking did. But we are all aware that Jollibee and McDonald provides great services toward
their customers, as well as how they maintain the cleanliness in their premises, In my own point
of view it is also a mission of Jollibee and McDonald that need not to be stated, in simple
language it is the implied or it is implicit mission not an explicit one. But after considering the
above explanations I would still side for the Jollibee.
