What is Initial Test?

Initial test is such type of computer based test which is taken by Pak
Army for the officer's commission. Initial test is like an entrance test for
ISSB (Inter Service Selection Board) when someone passed initial test,
medical, physical and interview then he is able to submit his ISSB form.
Syllabus for Initial Test .

Initial test is divided into three (03) portions

(02). Non-Verbal Test

(01) Verbal Test.

Verbal test is the ability to understand and logically


work through concepts and problems expressed in words. Verbal test
can judge candidates mental ability that how he/she solve the word

(02) Non-Verbal Test.

Non- Verbal test is based on problem solving


figures, and diagrams. This type of test shows candidates mental ability
and mental approaches. Non-verbal test is easy to solve. There’s about
90 questions to solve in 30 minutes and passing ratio is 50%.

(03) Academic Test.

Academic test is taken only for judge the


candidate’s knowledge. Academic test play vital role in initial test and
very much important for passing it. There are 50 questions to solve in
about 30 minutes and passing ratio is 50%.
