Mayo College, Nicknamed the 'Eton of the East', was established to provide modern education to the aristocracy.
For last 70 years the school has been following an egalitarian philosophy and accepts students from all communities
and regions across the nation and the world.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY
Students come from all parts of India and neighboring countries and live harmoniously in age diverse and culturally
diverse boarding houses. The emphasis is on being 'outdoors', education through 'exploration', interdisciplinary
teaching and teaching beyond classroom. Boys are groomed to be Independent, Doers, Enablers, Collaborators,
Team players and Leaders. The students live on campus in non air conditioned environment and grow to become
resilient. The focus is on holistic all round development and not on rote learning for examinations.

INTERNATIONALISM
All our students are bilingual being fluent in English and Hindi. Many of them are Trilingual: School offers German,
French, Sanskrit and a host of regional languages as third language. Students are well traveled and culturally adaptive -
several International Student Exchanges are held annually with UK, USA, Germany, France, Australia, New Zealand,
South Africa, Dubai and other countries. Students are community oriented: every year several of our students participate
in International Round Square Conferences, the International IAYP Service Projects etc.

ACADEMICS
The School follows the Indian National Board - CBSE. We do not award class ranks. CBSE Examination Class XII 2016-
18 - More than 40% boys got above 90% marks in class XII. The average batch percentage has been more than 80%
