Emerging Technologies
Abstract
Under this paper, we shall discuss how emerging technologies have taken up the
world with new developments and practical applications that are largely being used. Some of
these technologies are usually new, for example, various kinds of applications of
biotechnologies such as gene therapy. These emerging technologies are always looked at as
being capable of changing the world. They are mainly characterized by their relatively fast
growth, prominent impact, coherence, ambiguity, and uncertainty. Similarly, there are also a
systems.
Introduction
Emerging technologies are mainly contemporary advances and innovations in various fields
of technology. The paper mainly addresses the convergence and emergence of technology
across the world giving reasons why it is important to allow these to happen. It is vital for any
economy to grow, then emerging technologies should be at a high rate since it gives a wide
range of options to use. The text will clearly discuss various importance of emerging and
converging technologies with their examples. It will also provide an overview of the effects
of these emerging technologies on human life. For example, the paper will discuss the

advantage (Benson and Michael 2019). However, the level of the impact, status,
they have developed and opened up many innovative methods and new technologies (Benson
and Michael 2019). By contrast, disruptive technology is the one whose new methods
replaced the previous technology and made it more redundant. An example is the replacement
of the horse-drawn carriages by the automobiles and other vehicles (Benson and Michael
2019).
Emerging technology has created many debates including computer writers about the
use of these emerging technologies (Hicks and Martin 2015). Many of the cluster
technologies have been identified and these are considered critical to humanity’s future
(Benson and Michael 2019). It is argued that technologies should only be used by elites for
good to prevent it from extinction. While many advocates believe that emerging technologies
could bring more hope for the betterment of the human condition. Many discussions have
been carried out specifically to discuss how these converging technologies could be used
effectively. Since it is believed that man should be regarded as history’s main constant and
technology as its main variable. However, critics of the risks of the emerging technologies
could pose many dangers, and also contribute to the extinction of humanities itself.

vitro meat, nanotechnology, and many others (Benson and Michael 2019). Many of these
technologies have played a big part in technological advancements. For example, Artificial
(Benson and Michael 2019). All in all, the development of emerging technologies has driven

economic growth, large economic rewards have also come from new inventions and

by technology since new improvements emerge every year (Kaldis and Byron 2010).
According to (Hicks and Martin 2015) ague that if these new technologies are used
effectively, work and tasks will be done more efficiently and quickly. However, it is also
argued that, if they are not controlled, then more dangers might emerge causing more deaths
(Fountain and Henry 2013). Therefore, emerging technologies should be looked at and
controlled to meet the standards of the technology rules and guidelines to avoid dangers
