Railway Recruitment Board is going to release the recruitment notification for the post of
Junior Engineer in 2020. Candidates can apply for this exam on the official website once
the notification is out. There are four stages in this exam namely Computer-Based Test 1,
Computer-Based Test 2, Document Verification & Medical Test. After all the stages are
completed, the RRB will publish the final merit list in which selected candidates’ roll number
will be displayed. To crack this exam, start your exam preparations in full steam by thor-

RRB JE 2020 CBT 1 Syllabus


You have to prepare for this stage by covering various subjects such as Mathematics, Gen-
eral Intelligence, General Awareness and General Science. This exam is used as a screen-
ing test as its marks aren’t considered for the final exam. You need to score a minimum of
40% marks along with the cut-off score in order to qualify. Here is the subject-wise syllabus

This section carries 30 marks for which 30 questions will be asked. You need to specifically

RRB JE 2020 CBT 1 Exam Pattern


 The first stage of the exam is the Computer Based Test 1 which is conducted for 100
marks.
 You need to score the minimum qualifying marks, that is 40% in this exam plus the
minimum cut off marks to proceed to the next stage.
 Each question carries 1 mark with a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for every wrong
answer.
 Your score in this exam will not be considered for the final merit list.

RRB JE 2020 CBT 2 Exam Pattern


 Your performance in this exam matters the most as its marks will be considered for
this final merit list.
 This exam will be conducted for a grand total of 150 marks in which you need to
score the minimum qualifying marks (40%) as well as the minimum cut off marks to
qualify.
 There will be 150 questions and each question will carry one mark with deduction of
1/3rd marks per every wrong answer.
