Program Policies and Procedures for ID118 students and above

1. Retention Grade and Policy

1.1 A student must obtain a final grade of at least 2.0 in all prerequisite Accounting modular (ACY) and
Accounting non-modular (ACT) courses before he/she is allowed to enroll in the next course.
1.2 During his/her first take of Accounting modular (ACY) courses, the student should enroll in all
clustered sub-modules in one term, as indicated in the checklist (e.g. ACYFAR1 and ACYFAR2
should be taken in the same term).

2. Dropping of a Sub-Module for Accounting Modular Courses

2.1 Students may drop Accounting modular (ACY) courses up to Day 9 of each sub-module, except for
those under the Integrating Module which is Day 3, provided that the student informs the Chair of
the Accountancy Department in writing on or before the last day of dropping. This deadline for
dropping applies to all modular classes, including those which start and end within the university
dropping period. An officially-dropped course will not appear in the records of the student for the
term during which it was dropped.
2.2 Refunds for dropped course(s) will follow the CHED-approved policies governing refunds. Thus,
for purposes of Accounting modular (ACY) courses, refunds shall only be available if the course is
dropped within the first two (2) weeks of the term. Therefore, a student dropping a modular course
after this period shall not be entitled to any refund. The applicable percentages for refund adopted by
the university shall remain.
2.3 The dropping of courses shall be considered final and official only upon confirmation by the Office
of the University Registrar (OUR).
2.4 Other courses required and taken by student which are not modular in character and classification are
not covered by the above guidelines (2.1 to 2.3). As such, the usual policies and procedures
governing dropping of other courses shall apply.
