Reading Log 5th Grade

This document is a weekly reading log for students to track their reading. It prompts students to read for at least 30 minutes, 5 days a week. For each reading, students select a question to answer in complete sentences about what they read. For fiction, questions focus on events, characters, and changes. For nonfiction, questions explore the author's purpose, main ideas, text features, and organization. Students provide the date, title, number of pages read, and their response. As an example, a student summarizes reading Cinderella by discussing conflicts faced by the main character and how she responds.
