In this section of my portfolio, I put together a mock interview using screencast. This
my educational career and pinpoint which ones best highlight my ability to be an effective
elementary school teacher. In the video, I talk about these experiences and the steppingstones
that have gotten me to where I am today and the accomplishments, I am most proud of. I
experiences working in Elementary schools as a supply teacher for grades JK-8. I also touch on
my experiences of working as a Child Life Specialist in medical care settings. I review some of
the teaching trends that I have found to be most interesting and coincide with my own personal
beliefs around child development. I have shared this video on my class website, so you and
future parents will be able to view this video so they can get to know me a little bit better

In this section of the portfolio project, I have put together a mock interview to showcase
my interview skills and my educational accomplishments that I have done to date in my career.
The mock interview will serve two crucial components. One, it will give you an explicit insight
to show you my interviewing skills and how I present my ideas to others. And two, it will assist
me in reflecting and reviewing on the material I have presented throughout my portfolio picking
out the activities and experiences I feel are the best to highlight my abilities as an educator. The

I have had a diverse range of experiences when it comes to working with children and families. I
started my career in education when I graduated with my Early Childhood Education diploma in
2015 and then worked in an infant room for a year covering a maternity leave. Passionate about
child development and my studies I returned to school for my bachelor’s degree in Early
Childhood Leadership. I have an internship portion where I applied to work at the Children’s
hospital as a Child Life Specialist and provided preparation distraction and treatment play plans
for sick children. I knew I wanted to be a teacher and that’s how I became to start at Medaille
College.

Even though I have been working in the field of education for over six years and have extensive
experience working with children and families in diverse care settings. Medaille has provided me
with innovative skill sets that I can transfer into my own teaching practice and classroom
environment. I have learned initiatives like SMART board presentations and how to implement
diverse technological equipment into curriculum in authentic ways. I am able to transfer these
skills learned and add them to my professional toolkit to benefit future students and families in
my care.

Throughout my time at Medaille, I have completed endless lesson plans involving multiple
methods of learning. One of my favorite lessons was a literacy learning segment that includes
three interrelated lesson plans revolving around different literacy strategies to enhance students’
capacities as readers and writers. They all revolve around a popular children’s book that model
I am born to be a teacher and a leader. I have extensive qualifications, knowledge and experience
to bring to your school district. I am a team player and take pride in my differentiation skills and

Conclusion
In this section I provided an outline of what you will view on my mock interview. I
extensive education qualifications, knowledge and skill set needed to perform effectively as a
teacher going into the field of education. I state lessons learned from Medaille College and
