Midterm Assignment Summary: Computer Graphics

Computer graphics is the use of computers to visually present and process information. It is used for simulation, design, entertainment, and more. Computer graphics are found in cartography, 3D modeling, animation, medical imaging, games, and publications. Benefits include sound effects creation and storing/displaying drawings. Graphics provide visual outputs like photos and games from digital input. Types include raster (pixels) and random scan (lines/routes). Areas are modeling, rendering, animation, interaction, visualization, image processing, and 3D scanning. Design elements are color, line, shape, texture, space, and form. Displays include cathode ray tubes, flat panels, plasma panels, and liquid crystal displays.

Definition
Computer graphics is a technology that is used to present, process and convert information
into visual form, and also to produce images through a computer.

Why we read computer graphics

We study computer graphics for the purpose of simulation, architecture, imagination and
entertainment.

Where computer graphics are used

Computer graphics are in cartography, the concept of measurement data which is 2D and 3D, the
concept of computer simulation, computer design, movies, games, medical diagnosis and
preparation of publication.

The benefits of computer graphics

Sound effects are created using sound cards in computer graphics. Using a computer, a computer
becomes the center of graphic attention. The computer can store, draw, present and display the
drawing.

The purpose of the graphics

The main purpose of graphics is to provide the result of our desired input using digital systems
and computers. When we turn on the computer, we can see the graphics on the monitor. The
output we get can be in the form of graphics such as photography or games.

Types of computer graphics

Raster scan display
Raster images consist of pixels where each pixel has a different color.
Random scan display
Random images consist of line segments and routes. Images are produced directly through the
electronic beam.

Graphic Areas
Modeling
Modeling is used in mathematical design in the form that is to be placed on the computer. It is
said to feed 3D images.
Rendering
Rendering is the process of showing a 3D process in 2D. It is taking the mathematical model and
process for output image.
movement
Animation with the help of images is used in animation. Animation uses modeling and rendering
concepts.
User interaction
When a user interacts with a computer, it is called a user interaction. Users can communicate
with tablets, feedback, requests, etc.
Vision
Visualization is a process in which the user interacts with representatives who are representing
the data graphically. For example data presentation for science, engineering and metallurgy etc.
Image processing
Image processing is the processing where we give the image as input and also get the image as
the output as the image. In this process, various techniques are used to treat the images.
3D scanning
3D scanning uses a 3D scanner to capture the shape of an object. The result can be saved, edited
and printed.
Design elements
Color
Color is the most important element of design. It can be used alone in the background and also
with a mixture of elements, different shapes, etc. And use different color combinations. Color is
created when light shines on an object.
line
A line is defined by two points in space, combine these points to form a line. The line is
connected points. The line is in many types such as horizontal, vertical, curved, diagonal etc.
Point
A point is a simple element of design. This is a round but small point that is why it is called a
point. Point is a position. Its existence is one and the same.
Shape
The shape is a combination of some points. It is defined by some boundaries like lines and it
takes up some space. Many design elements can create shapes. These shapes include circle,
triangle, rectangle, diamond and oval.
Texture
The texture is the surface of shapes and forms. The texture you can feel with your finger is called
touch. This structure that has a flat surface is called a visual texture.
Space
There are two types of space. A place that is full of design is called a positive place. A space that
is empty is called a negative space.
Form
Three-dimensional figures are called forms. These shapes are circles, cubes, cones, etc. An
object that has depth, height and width is called a shape.
Unity
A combination of many designs or a combination of design parts is called unity. Many principles
are used in unity such as alignment, vice versa, etc.

Refresh cathode ray tubes

The cathode rays are emitted by the electronic gun, and it passes through the focus which leads
to the position of the beam on the screen. This type of display is called a refreshing cathode ray
tube. These include control grid, focusing system, high precision system, construction,
resolution, etc.

Random scan system

The random scan system uses a vector display and a refresh display file. We can compare
random scans and raster scans.

Flat panel display

The features of flat panel display are volume, weight and power. There are two types of flat
panel display: Emissive display and non-Emissive display. EMSO displays use plasma panels
and non-EMSU displays use liquid crystal displays.
Displays plasma panels
Separate the two glass plates in the plasma neon gas. These are vertical and horizontal
conductors. These displays are very inviting and refreshing and are now available in colors.

Crystal display
These are organic crystals that bind themselves together. When external coercion is applied, they
reunite.

Raster scan system

The random scan system uses a video controller frame
