Event : Vocal Solo

Contest Rules and Mechanics:

1. The contestant must be a bona fide student of GGCAST.


2. The contest piece must be English and only one piece is allowed to be used during the performance.
3. The contestant/s will be accompanied by a minus-one tape/cd/USB.
4. The costume must be appropriate to the theme of the song, decent and modest.
5. All contestants must be at the venue one hour before the contest proper. Late entries will be disqualified from the
competition.
6. Drawing of lots must be done 30 minutes before the contest proper.
7. Judging shall be made through Ranking System
8. In case of a tie, the Board of Judges shall convene and break the tie through point system.
9. The Chairperson of the Board of Judges or Emcee shall proclaim or announce the winner.
10. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.

Event : Vocal Duet

Contest Rules and Mechanics:

1. The contestant must be a bona fide student of GGCAST.


2. The contest piece must be an OPM (Original Pilipino Music) and only one piece is allowed to be used during the
performance.
3. The contestants can be all male, all female or mixed.
4. The contestant/s will be accompanied by a minus-one tape/CD/Flash Drive.
5. The costume must be appropriate to the theme of the song, decent and modest.
6. All contestants must be at the venue one hour before the contest proper. Late entries will be disqualified from the
competition.
7. Drawing of lots must be done 30 minutes before the contest proper.
8. Judging shall be made through Ranking System
9. In case of a tie, the Board of Judges shall convene and break the tie through point system.
10. The Chairperson of the Board of Judges or Emcee shall proclaim or announce the winner.

Event: Modern Retro Dance

Contest Rules and Mechanics

1. The contestants must be a bona fide student of GGCAST


2. The dance must be modern accompanied by retro music with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15
members.
3. Time allotment: 3-5 minutes (including entrance and exit)
4. One (1) point deduction from the total rating for every minute under time and overtime in the presentation.
5. The costume must be in accordance to the concept of the dance.
6. The group must submit a flash drive containing their piece five (5) minutes before the program starts.
7. Pyro-technique, firecrackers and confetti is not allowed during the presentation.
8. All contestants must be at the venue one hour before the contest proper. Late entries will be disqualified
from the competition.
9. Drawing of lots must be done 30 minutes before the contest proper.
10. Judging shall be made through Ranking System
11. In case of a tie, the Board of Judges shall convene and break the tie through point system.

Event: Declamation

Contest Rules and Mechanics

1. The contestant must be a bona fide student of GGCAST.


2. The contest piece is in English and it is provided by the event organizer and performance scores will vary on the
manner of delivery.
3. Three copies of the story must be submitted to the Board of Judges.
4. Each contestant is given five (5) to seven (7) minutes to deliver the story. There will be a one (1) point deduction
from the average points for every one (1) minute under time or overtime.
5. Contestants must memorize their contest pieces.
6. Appropriate costume to identify the character must be worn.
7. All contestants must be at the venue thirty (30) before the contest proper. Late entries will be disqualified from
the competition.
8. Drawing of lots must be done 30 minutes before the contest proper.
9. Judging shall be made through Ranking System
10. In case of a tie, the Board of Judges shall convene and break the tie through point system.

Event: Essay Writing Contest


Contest Rules and Mechanics

1. The contestant must be a bona fide student of GGCAST.


2. The essay must be about the theme of Talent Extravaganza.
3. The words of the essay must be in English.
4. The contestants have 30 minutes to write their essay.
5. The essay must contain at least 250 words and must not exceed 600 words.
6. All contestants must be at the venue thirty (30) minutes before the contest proper.
7. Judging shall be made through Ranking System
8. In case of a tie, the Board of Judges shall convene and break the tie through point system.
9. The Chairperson of the Board of Judges or Emcee shall proclaim or announce the winner.
10. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.
