TESDA CIRCULAR

Subject: Implementing Guidelines in the Registration Page No. I of .2 pages

of National TVET Trainers Academy (NTTA) Number as-6 Series of 2019
Programs

Date Issued: June 3, 2019 Effectivity: Immediately Supersedes:

In the interest of the service and in line with strengthening and enhancing the
competencies of TESDA Trainers and Assesors, the following guidelines are hereby
issued:

I. Rationale:

1. To cope up with the challenges of the 21st Century Education that bring about
change in the delivery of TVET training, we must ensure that our workforce retains
their competitive advantages over other workforces elsewhere.

2. The 4th Industrial Revolution and rapid technological advancements are seen by
experts to make many jobs obsolete. This would make it difficult for the country's
TVET providers to cope and catch up with the rapid pace of innovation,
technological change, and advanced workforce skills requirements. Innovative
ways of program delivery are needed to intensify efforts towards the development
of a workforce that is empowered with continuously upgraded skills and knowledge.

3. The TVET Trainer is one of the most critical components in ensuring quality-
assured TVET programs. There is a need to train more trainers and assessors and
enhance their competencies to meet the demand of 21St Century Skills, the 4th
Industrial Revolution (4lR), the industries and expanding clientele.

II. Objectives

1. To enhance trainer competencies, particularly on 21st century skills;

2. To upgrade skills of TESDA trainers; and

3. To facilitate registration of NTTA Training Programs for TVET Trainers.

III. Guidelines for Registration

The requirements for registration of the programs are as follows:

1. Competency-based Curriculum (CBC);

2. List of Equipment;
3. List of Physical Facilities;
4. List of Officials; and
5. List of Trainers with their qualifications supported by evidences. For NTR
Program, copy of TM Certificates or other Trainers Methodology Certificates
issued by other entities.
