INTRODUCTION:

Congratulate each other for attending despite of this pandemic.

Good afternoon! I am here to share to you the Word of the Lord, entitled
SALVATION. Before we start, let’s pray.
I’m here to explain to you more about salvation. So in John 14:6, Jesus
himself said clearly, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes
to the Father except through Me.”

SALVATION – deliverance (paglaya) from the power of sin and its

consequences
Romans 6:23
23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord.
WAGES – penalty ; kabayaran; kaukulang parusa
Sins are not just bad actions. It is the condition of man’s heart before a
Holy God. Not just bad actions but also bad thoughts. Those sins
separated us away from the Lord. DEATH – separation
Because of our sins, we all deserve eternal punishment. We all deserve
death or eternal separation from God. Without Jesus, we are eternally
separated from God and we will suffer from eternal punishment brought by
our sins. But there is HOPE. Because God loves us so much, He gave us a
gift. A gift that we do not deserve. A gift out of unconditional love for us. A
gift of eternal life. God has already paid this gift with a high price. By the
blood of His one and only son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:10
10
As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;

Romans 3:23
23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1. We need to admit that we have sinned.

It is tough to admit that we are wrong. The truth is we are all sinners and
can never be good enough to earn our way to heaven. God’s Word, clearly
states that ALL have sinned. God is holy and just. Sins against a Holy God
deserve punishment. We are told in the Bible that the wages or payment for
sin is death—eternal death in hell.

However, a loving, merciful God has provided a rescue plan! We need to

go back to our Saviour who truly loves us. Sin destroys a man. But Jesus is
the solution. Jesus is our salvation. He paid in full the penalty for our sins
on the cross of Calvary. His work on the cross brought redemption,
renewal, and restoration to our lives.
Both John the Baptist and Jesus himself began their preaching with the
word, ‘Repent’. ("Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." - Matthew
4:17 NKJV)
Repent means “magsisi” or to ‘change one’s mind’; to go in another
direction. How can we be led to repentance?
The first step toward repentance is true sorrow for what we’ve done wrong.
“For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be
regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.” - 2 Corinthians 7:10
NKJV. Worldly sorrow is more like the regret of a criminal who’s just been
caught whereas godly sorrow is the deep conviction that produces a
change in direction. Have you ever felt convicted after doing something
wrong? The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is the one that convicts us of our
sin.
2. Believe On Jesus Christ
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For
God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the
world through Him might be saved.” - John 3:16-17 NKJV
...The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and
believe in the gospel. - Mark 1:15 NKJV
Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance,
saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after
him, that is, on Christ Jesus." - Acts 19:4 NKJV

Salvation is not complicated. A child simply puts their (faith) in the father’s
strong arms. Likewise, we entrust our life to Jesus Christ—believing on Him
and His finished work on the cross. Jesus Christ, the perfect, sinless lamb
of God, laid down His life and took the penalty meant for us, dying in our
place. He paid the debt we could not pay and redeemed us from the power
of sin and death.
3. Confess Christ Publicly
...that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with
the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation. - Romans 10:9-10 NKJV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to
salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the
Greek. - Romans 1:16 NKJV

God did his part, sending His one and only Son to die in our place. He has
offered us a free gift — salvation, the forgiveness of sin, eternal life with
Him in heaven. BUT… we must receive that gift. We must confess our sins
and proclaim our faith in the death, burial and resurrection of God’s son,
Jesus Christ. Confessing with our mouth requires an outward, public action,
not a secret, hidden, timid faith. The Apostle Paul boldly proclaimed his
faith so that others could hear and be saved. God’s plan of salvation is
freely offered to everyone.
So… what happens next?
Well, that’s up to you! God’s Word says, "Behold, now is the accepted time;
behold, now is the day of salvation. - 2 Corinthians 6:2b NKJV
None of us knows how long we have on this earth. The only opportunity we
are guaranteed to have is right now!

I will lead you into a short prayer. Let’s make this official. Itong prayer na
ito, hindi sapilitan, if you are willing to pray and your heart is now ready to
receive the gift of salvation, follow after me. This is just the start of your
new journey with God. Hindi ito yong katapusan, bagkus simula pa lamang
ito. As Romans 10: 9-10 says, If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is
Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you
will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Remember, the Bible says we are saved by grace through faith… God
sees our heart. Hindi tayo maililigtas dahil sa isang napakagandang prayer.
We are saved when we reach out by faith, admitting our sin, believing on
Christ and confess Him as our Lord and Savior. Saving faith produces a
forever changed life. I want you to declare this prayer with your mouth
opened, and believe in your heart. Come let’s pray.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I know that I’ve sinned against You. I realize that the
penalty for sin is death. Thank you for sending Your Son, Jesus, to die,
shedding His own blood on the cross in my place so that I could receive His
righteousness by faith. I now confess my sins to You and ask for Your
forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died and rose again so that I can be
forgiven and live forever with Him. Here and now, I surrender my life, my
plans, my goals to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. By God’s strength, I will
seek to share about what God has done in my life with each opportunity
God brings my way. Take full control of my life today until forever. Starting
today Lord, my life will never be the same again. In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen

If you have prayed this prayer with all your heart, I rejoice with you. Heaven
itself is even rejoicing with you!
Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God
over one sinner who repents." - Luke 15:10 NKJV

I prayed to receive Christ! Is that it?

There will be battles ahead, but you will not have to fight alone.
If we received Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour, this is now the result:
2 Corinthians 5:17
17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old
has gone, the new is here!
By the power of the blood of Jesus, we are restored. Spiritually, our
relationship with God is restored. Personally, our broken relationships with
people, are restored, as well as our finances.

THE TRUTHS ABOUT YOUR NEW RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST:

1. CHRIST FORGAVE YOUR SINS.
- Colossians 1:13-14
13
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and
brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we
have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
2. He made you a child of God.
- When you received Christ, you became a child of God. Christ
came into your life and will never leave you nor forsake you.
- Hebrews 13:5b

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with
what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you,
never will I forsake you.”

- No matter what situation or trial we will be going through, the

Lord is always by our side to help us.

3. Christ began a new life in you.

2 Corinthians 5:17
17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old
has gone, the new is here!
- Your old nature is gone as He forms you into the person He
intended you to become.

4. God gave you eternal life.

1 John 5:11-13
11
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in
his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son
of God does not have life.
13
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so
that you may know that you have eternal life.
CONCLUSION
It is by grace through faith in Christ, it is a gift of God and not because of
our works (Eph. 2:8-9)
Lead them to prayer.
