Main Idea:
The idea is to build an application for smart and effective learning of students. The students will
have the opportunity to learn from the deep information available in a mobile app or connect
to a senior student (buddy) in real time. For getting the users hands on the precise information
related to topic of their interest (courses offered) from different authentic books the
application will use semantics technology on books suggested by the faculty.

Motivation
As developers what motivates us (the team) to bring this idea as an application to reality is to
provide the students a platform that will increase their productivity and help them excel in their
academic career by providing them aid in a virtual environment to learn from their senior
buddy students and also by providing them with the authentic and precise information from
different profound books.
Technical Challenges

 Building a well-connected graph using semantic technology that will enable the quick
and efficient searches in smart library
 Real-time board (Join whiteboard sessions of senior, whatever he writes or draws on
screen is visible to junior and vice versa)

Benefits
The main benefit of this app will be that it will provide the students with the precise
information about various topics of their courses in a single android application. They will not
need to probe different books and resources which is time consuming and sometimes un-
authentic information.
This will also help the students to learn from their senior buddy students both physically and
virtually. This app will help them schedule their meetings. Moreover, this app will also provide
them the opportunity to learn virtually having a real-time board available to both students to
write something at and have a better learning experience.

This app will also provide the recorded video lectures of the senior students about various
topics which can be listened to anytime. Which in turn will also set ease and lower the burden
on the faculty which of course cannot cater to ever increasing strength of the students and
provide them with the customized solution to their problems.

This app will also help in reducing the communication gap between the students and bring the
diverse cultures in a tighter bound, playing its role in creating a healthier environment for
better learning.

Why our app?


The most valid question ‘why students should use this application when content is available at
internet and various websites like YouTube?’.

The reason to use this application is that this application will provide the students with the
authentic and precise information which otherwise is very difficult for the students to gat
online. For example, If a student has a problem understanding a small point in a broad topic, he
or she has to study the irrelevant information that he already has knowledge to, this app will
provide them the opportunity to learn about the specific point either by using our smart library
or by connecting to a virtual or physical buddy available at that time. Moreover, this will also
help in reducing the communication problem as most of the content available online is not in
their native language but our buddy will provide them a customized learning experience in their
native language.
