Panauti Village is a small town located 32 km south-east of Kathmandu and

at an elevation of 1500 meters from sea level. It is one of the oldest towns
in Nepal, where cannabis has been thriving since generations. On a single
look upon the field, you can see different
expressions of this heirloom, big baseball bat colas and colourful
hashplants. We met some curious farmers and taught them some
modern hash making techniques

elevation of 1800 meters, this village is has to be explored on foot as there
are no roads. The farmers here are poor and are barely making the ends
meet, and yet their generosity was inspiring. We were allowed to roam
around the fields and pick any plant that looked exotic. They gave us a brief
tutorial on the traditional Nepalese dry sift extraction, done/screened by a
locally sourced cloth (Rubik).
