What could be the disadvantages of being self-employed?

Working at home has become increasingly popular among certain demographics of society
recently. This essay will delineate the reasons why people prefer to work at home also the
probable negative outcomes for it.
With regards to self-employment, people consider multifarious reasons such as freedom, more
family involvement, less travelling for organizational purpose and so on. In addition, people who
work from home get ample freedom in their personal life. Having more flexibility increases
productivity. Furthermore, almost every task is now can be operated online and its quite easy to
solve an issue from home. For instance, A researcher from the USA has conducted an
experiment recently by decreasing a day of working by himself also performing his task from
home which shows a 40% increase in productivity.
In the other hand, negative impacts are also there for being a self-employed person which
involves less social interaction, monotonousness and homesickness. Working online or from
home involves less social activities and thus people get isolated from their society. Moreover,
doing the same thing, again and again, creates anxiety. For example, Self-employment might be
risky if something goes wrong there is a chance which can lead to unemployment and frustration
as well.
In conclusion, nowadays for various reason working from home has become popular such as
convenience, flexibility. By contrast, it may not work equally for all and might create social and
financial difficulties in the long run. This essay discussed the reason people opt to work from
home also the consequences of the choice.
