Introduction:

Have you ever thought about the amount of energy wasted by humans, if can be
made possible for utilization this would be great in producing alternative energy source.
Footstep power generator is designed to capture wasted kinetic energy from the
footsteps by converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. As the availability of
conventional energy declines, there is need to find alternate energy sources. There by
an alternative source must be discovered, many people proposes for solar energy, but it
is going to be a costliest affair, moreover availability of solar energy is poor particularly
when its rainy, as a result it is not dependable.
Footstep electric generator is safe, and free, does not pollute the environment
and thus will be an extremely viable alternative in the days to come. As there is a
tremendous increase in the College of Engineering Bldg, the load applied on the
footsteps by the Students, it would generate nonstop energy, which can be stored and
utilized to energize the street lights outside the College of Engineering Bldg.

Objective:

 The main objective of Footstep Electric Generator is to harness wasted


kinetic energy from walking on the platform and convert it into Electrical
Energy.
 To Increase the production of Electrical Energy.
 To design a platform for implementation of simple drive mechanism such
as rack and pinion assembly.
 To Generate Renewable Power from human locomotion
