It is very important to follow below instruction to operate WL-UVL series wheelchair lift.
【WARNING】The operation only can be done after completely understand this instruction.
8.1 Safety Precaution

When operate the lift, must obey the following requirements any time:
Before using the lift, vehicle must be stopped on smooth road, be attention not to stop on
slope.
Before using the lift, vehicle motor must be powered off and pull the braking.
If unusual noise or movement occurs, immediately ask XINDER or designated after-sales
service points to inspect.
Before each use, do a pre-inspection. Such as inspect whether the mounting bolt or nut is
loose. If there is something unsafe, stop using the lift. If there is something serious, please
return to XINDER or authorized dealer (after-sales service points) to maintain.
When the platform and wheels are damp, the wheelchair brake system power is little,
therefore, particularly be careful to use it.
When the platform is up or down, wheelchair must be braked (electric wheelchair must be
powered off and braked).
Keep the planar lift clean.
Be careful not to load more than the rated load capacity.
Don’t get on or off the platform when it is up and down. When not use, lift must be retracted
back to the lift body box before starting vehicle.
Children and other people are not allowed to do with the lift, it is dangerous.
Don’t put your arms and legs among the movement area to keep you away from unnecessary
harm.
When the platform is up and down, nobody should allow standing on the front or rearing
rollstop.
When somebody stays on the platform, anyone should not be allowed to press operating “IN”
key.

8.2 Daily Safety Inspection

8.3.2 Remote Control

The remote control is on the Hydraulic unit

OUT<: key for extend platform
IN>: key for retract platform
UP^: key for lift platform
DOWNV: key for lower down platform

Key’s function of remote control

Key Description
Platform extends from the stow position, move up from the existing position, ground or
UP extending position (after the platform leave ground, front rollstop overturns upward
automatically under the function of electric actuator)
Platform extends from the stow position, low down from the existing position, ground or
DOWN extending position (when the platform touch ground, front rollstop overturns to ground
automatically under the function of electric actuator)
OUT Platform extends from the stow position
IN Platform returns to extend position, then back to the stow position.

8.3.3 Working Condition

Power is on (on the power contactor of drive sensor of pump motor which is inside the
Hydraulic unit); JP2_1-5 imputes 24V; and prepare switch c is on (JP2_1-2,3connected).

8.3.4 Working Process

Extend out platform: Effective keys of handle switch (OUT: key for extend platform <; UP: key
for lift platform ^; DOWN: key for lower down platform V) .
When extend the platform, if the platform is in stow position (Stow sensor a is on), first adjust the
platform to level position (controlled by level switch 2), and then the platform can be extended.
When the Stow sensor a is off, the status signal JP2_1-1(24V) is output. When the platform is
extended completely, and the extend sensor b is on, there are three kinds of situation: first, if the
effective key of handle switch is OUT<, the platform will extend. Second, if the effective key of
handle switch is UP ^, the platform extends, and then move up. The platform will stop to move up

22
XINDER-TECH ELECTRONICS
until the lifting switch 3 is on. Third, if the effective key of handle switch is DOWN V, the platform
extends, and then move down. The front rollstop of platform will unfold until the pressure switch is
on, and the platform will stop to move down.

Retract platform: Effective key of handle switch is IN (key for retract platform ) >

When retract platform, if the platform is in stow position (extend sensor b is on), first, the front
rollstop will be folded, the platform will be adjusted to level position (controlled by level switch 2),
and then the platform will retract. When the platform retract completely, the Stow sensora is on, the
platform stops to retract, the status signal JP2_1-1(0V) will be outputted, and the pressure is
released.

Lifting platform: Effective key of handle switch is UP (key for lifting platform ^), extend sensor b
is on.
The front rollstop will be folded, and the platform will stop to move up until the lifting switch 3 is
on.

Lower down platform: Effective key of handle switch is DOWN (key for lifting platform V),
extend sensor b is on.
The platform will move down until the pressure switch 1 is on, and then the front rollstop unfolds,
and the platform stops to move down.
Note:
1. This lift is controlled by the handle switch. Lift will stop moving if stop pressing any keys
on the handle switch.
2. When extend or retract platform, the controller will adjust the platform to level position
according to level switch 2, then the lift can work. (The level switch 2 only can work under the
condition that the platform is extended completely. That is to say, the adjustment id done after the
extend sensor b is on)
3. The front rollstop works through pressure switch. When the platform lowers down to
ground, the pressure switch will be on because of the decrease of pressure. The front rollstop will
unfold after the pressure switch is on.
4. Steps to adjust platform to level position: If the platform is under level position (level
switch2 is off), first, lift the platform until level switch2 is on, then release the valve to lower down
platform. Decompression will stop when level switch2 is off. Till now, the adjustment is finished.
If the platform is above level position (level switch2 is on), release valve, platform will lower
down. Decompression will stop when level switch2 is off. Till now, the adjustment is finished.
5. Controller is inside of the Hydraulic unit.

9.5 Trouble Shooting

Corresponding indicator light of keys is not bright

1.1 Check if power light of controller is bright or not, if not, means controller power without input.
(All key lights will not bright).
Check pin 5 of connector with 6 pins has power input?
1.2 Check if enable light of controller is bright or not, if not, means controller is not enabled
(indicator lights of “out”, “up” and “down” keys will not bright).
Check if pin_ 3 and pin_ 2 of connectorJP2_1 with 6 pins be connected well.
1.3 If controller power light and enable light are bright, but indicator light of keys are not bright,
then inspect connector (JP6) with 5 pins and handle switch.
Corresponding indicator light of keys are bright
2.1 “Up” key with no response (troubleshoot should be check with difference of platform when it
stays in different positions)
2.1.1 When platform in extend position, extend sensor is on (indicator light of extend position(PO)
is on), “up” key will have no response.
2.1.1.1 Front roll-stop will be folded before platform begin to move up.(troubleshoot of front
roll-stop see section 7)
2.1.1.2 If high switch is connected (indicator light of high position (Hi) is on), “up” key will have
no response.
If high switch is on, means platform is already in high position, so “up” key will have no response.
If the high position of the platform is not correct, inspect if the high switch is damaged. If not, you
need to readjust the ring of high switch.
2.1.1.3 If high switch is off (indicator light of high position(Hi) is not bright) but “up” key with no
response.
Check if controller has output with moving up the platform and the indicator light (Up) whether be
on:
If controller has no output, inspect it.
If controller has output, but oil pump does not run, then check if the oil pump motor be
electricity. If yes, inspect motor of oil pump. If not, inspect the relay installed on the oil pump.
If motor of oil pump is working, also check if the relief valve is working or not (relief valve
contains manual and electric), if platform moving up while unloading, then oil pressure will not
hold up eventually.

45
XINDER-TECH ELECTRONIC
2.1.2 When platform is in the extend position, but extend sensor is not on (indicator light of extend
position (PO) is not on), means there is failure with sensor or wrong position with magnet, then
inspect the sensor and readjust the local position of magnet.
2.1.3 When platform is not in the extend position, but the extend sensor is on (Extend indicator
light (PO) is bright), means failure with sensor or wrong position with magnet, then inspect the
sensor and readjust the local position of magnet.
2.1.4 When platform is not in extend position and the extend sensor is not on (indicator light of
extend position (PO) is not on), “up” key will have no response. Because platform cannot move up
if it is not in extend position, before moving up, it should first adjust to horizontal level, then
extend out and access to extend position (troubleshooting of level adjustment see section 3, cannot
move out see section 4).
2.2 “down” key with no response (troubleshoot according to platform in different position)
2.2.1 When platform in extend position and extend sensor is on (Extend indicator light (PO) is on),
“down” key with no response.
2.2.1 Check if controller has relief output and indicator light (Down) is on.
If controller has no output, then inspect it.
If it has output, indicator light (Down) should be on. Manually relief the oil pressure to see if the
platform can drop down, if it lowers down, means electric relief valve is blocked or damaged. If
not, check the lift arms and rear roll-stop to see if platform be blocked.
2.2.1.2 When platform down to the ground, pressure switch will be on (Indicator light of down to
ground (Lo) is on), if pressure switch is off, means it is failure.
When pressure switch is on, front roll-stop will open. (Trouble shoot of front roll-stop see section
6).
2.2.2 When platform is not in extend position ( indicator light of extend sensor(PO) is not on),
、 ,
Whatever you pressed “out” “up” and “down” key platform works the same.(Trouble shooting
see 2.1.2 to2.1.4).
2.3 “Out” key with no response (troubleshoot according to platform in different position).
2.3.1 When platform is in extend position, sensor of extend is on (indicator light of extend sensor
(PO) is on), but “out” key with no response.
It is correct, when platform already moved out to extend position, so “out” key will not response
again.
2.3.2 When platform is not in extend position, extend sensor is not on (indicator light of extend
sensor (PO) is not on),
、 ,
Whatever you pressed “out” “up” and “down” key platform works the same (troubleshooting
see 2.1.2 to 2.1.4).
2.4 “In” key with no response (troubleshoot according to platform in different position)
2.4.1 When platform is in extend position, sensor of extend is on (indicator light of extend sensor
(PO) is on), “in” key with no response.
2.4.1.1 Front roll-stop will be closed before the platform going to stow in (troubleshooting of front
roll-stop see section 7).
2.4.1.2 After front roll-stop retracted completely, platform will adjust to middle position. Platform
in different places, so adjustment will be different.
2.4.1.2.1 if platform is below horizontal position ,it will adjust to middle position:
In this situation, level switch should be off (Indicator light of level switch (HP) is not on),but if

46
XINDER-TECH ELECTRONIC
level switch is on, you should inspect if the level switch is damaged, if not, readjust the position of
the switch ring.

Process of adjustment is: first, platform moves up till the lever switch is connected (indicator
light of middle position (HP) is on), then up movement stop, it turn to moving down till the level
switch is just disconnected (Indicator light of level switch (HP) is off), then down movement stop,
and adjustment be finished.
Troubleshooting of platform can not move up see 2.1.1.2 to 2.1.1.3.
If the level switch is not on when platform already reached middle position, check if the switch is
damaged, or readjust the position of the switch ring.
Troubleshooting of platform can not move down see 2.1.1.1 to 2.1.1.2.
2.4.1.2.2 When platform is above horizontal level and it will adjust to middle position:
In this situation, level switch should be on (indicator light of level switch (HP) is on), but if level
switch is not on, inspect if the level switch is damaged, if not, readjust the position of the switch
ring.
The process of adjustment is: platform moves down till the lever switch is just disconnected
(indicator light of level switch (HP) is off ), then down stop, adjustment be finished.
