Problem Prioritization

1) Ineffective breathing pattern related to pneumonia is the top priority as it is a physiologic need requiring immediate attention to support life. 2) Fatigue related to poor physical condition is the second priority as it is also a physiologic need, though not requiring immediate attention. Addressing this will help the client adhere to treatment. 3) Impaired walking related to limited endurance is the lowest priority as the previous problems around breathing and fatigue must be addressed first in order to also resolve the walking impairment.
