a. Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of factors
that affect climate, and the effect of changing climate and how to adopt
accordingly.
b. Performance Standard: The learners shall be able to participate in
activities that reduce risk and lessen effects of climate change.
c. Learning Competencies: Describe certain climatic phenomena that
occurs on a global level.

ELICIT

A. Review or Present New Lesson


Settling down: Prayer, Checker Student’s Attendance , Check assignment,
if any, revisit student’s learning progress (optional)
Review past lesson.

B. Establishing Purpose for the Lesson


Picture or Video Clip: The picture/ clip of the crying , sick, hot and
suffering earth.
What have you noticed in the picture?
Reading of objectives.
1. Assess learner’s prior knowledge on climate change through
Bingo Cards.
2. Discuss concepts on climate change and causes it through
carousel brainstorming comprehensively.
3. Show the effect of causes of climate change through poster
making.

ENGAGE

C. Presentation of New Lesson


Prepare material for the activity to be done by the students in a
collaborative spirit. ( Pair – Share / Two (2) personsin a group) Prepare the
student with an instruction for the activity.

D. Discussion ( New Concepts/Skills #1)

Getting Ready!
Procedures is found in the Learner’s Manual “ Bingo Cards”
Alloted time is 5-8 minutes only
Presentation and Checking of output supported by power point showing
the answers of Bingo Cards.

Activity 2
Carousel Brainstorming!
If possible the questions have its picture.
Procedure:
1. Each group will be given a cartolina with a questions to
answer about climate change.
2. For 1 min., you write as many words or phrases that answer questions.
3. After 1min.,you will pass the cartolina to the group next to you
clockwise and start writing words/phrases that answer the question that
is passed on to your group,
4. Then pass it to the next group until your cartolina returns to your
group,
5. After which,based from the words/phrases written by your group and
other groups,make a sentence or sentences to discuss questions which
are assigned to you.
6. Do it in 5 mins.After the time allotted to you,choose a
reporter/presenter and report your output.
7. The teacher will just go signal of the 1 min.time interval.

Rubrics will be shown on the monitor so they will be guided with it.

They will do it in 5 minutes only.
