SIMPLE PAST VS. PRESENT PERFECT

Directions:
A. Put the verbs into the correct tense (simple past or present perfect simple).

PAST PERFECT

Directions:

Add a sentence with the past perfect using the notes.

Example: Claire looked very suntanned when I saw her last week.
She had just been on holiday. (just / be on holiday)

2. I didn’t have an umbrella, but that didn’t matter. (the rain / stop)

Directions: Put in the correct third conditional verb form:

SECOND AND THIRD CONDITIONALS

Directions: Complete the conversations. Put in the correct form of the verb. Use the past
simple, the past perfect, would, or would have.

MODAL VERBS

Put in ‘must + infinitive’ or ‘must + have + past participle’:

great.
4. When Lizzie got home yesterday, there were flowers on the table. Her husband
