A STUDY ON WORKING CAPITAL MANAGEMENT IN SMALL SCALE
INDUSTRIES BASED ON KENFORD
Introduction and Objectives of the study
Industrialization brings about social and economic changes that are essentially
important for sustainable survival and development of human society in the
background of continuously increasing population size, shrinking agricultural lands,
the inadequacy of various natural resources and unemployment. Industrialization also
leads to the protection and development of agrarian society being the backbone of our
country. The role played by small business in the economic activity of Indian history
since practically the beginning of the recorded time is significant. The small-scale
industrial sector, during the last 50 years, has made phenomenal progress in diverse
activities despite the zooming mortality rate. It is contributing most to the Indian
economy in the form of employment, contribution to the national domestic product,
foreign exchange earning, etc. My Primary Objective  To study the working capital
management and finance in respect of small scale industries.  To examine the
effectiveness of working capital management policies with the help of accounting
ratio.  To study the liquidity position of the company by taking various
measurements.  To evaluate the financial performance of the company.  To make
suggestions for policymakers for effective management of working capital.
Problem Statement (including Literature Review)
Decisions relating to working capital and short term financing are referred to as
working capital management. These involve managing the relationship between a
firm's short-term assets and its short-term liabilities. The goal of working capital
management is to ensure that the firm is able to continue its operations and that it has
sufficient cash flow to satisfy both maturing short-term debt and upcoming
operational expenses Moreover, working capital is the money used to make goods and
attract sales. The less working capital used to attract sales, the higher is likely to be
the return on investment. Working capital management is about the commercial and
financial aspects of Inventory, credit, purchasing, marketing, and royalty and
investment policy. The higher the profit margin, the lower is likely to be the level of
working capital tied up in creating and selling titles 1. Their projects are helpful in
knowing the companies position of funds maintenance and setting the standards for
working capital inventory levels, current ratio level, quick ratio, current amount
turnover level & web turnover levels. 2. This project is helpful to the managements
for expanding the dualism & the project viability & present availability of funds. 3.
This project is also useful as it companies the present year data with the previous year
data and thereby it shows the trend analysis, i.e. increasing fund or decreasing fund. 4.
The project is done entirely as a whole entire. It will give an overall view of the
organization and it is useful in further expansion decision to be taken by management.

Primary Data DEF:The first handed information/Fresh data will be collected through
various methods is known as primary data. In respect of primary data which I will
directly collect that have not been previously collected from Kenford itself..
Secondary Data: Secondary data will be collected through various reports / annual
reports, documents charts, management information systems, etc. in Kenford. And
also will be collected through various magazines, books, newspapers and internet.
