Document Purpose
This document highlights new functionality, enhancements and fixes introduced in the R18.3 release of the
Temenos Community Banking model bank. The following tags are used to mark the different items.

 NEW New feature – new functionality that did not exist before

 ENH Enhancement – change/improvement of existing functionality

 FIX Bug fix – fix to a problem found in existing functionality

IMPORTANT: The R18_EM_BrowserCustomization, R18_EM_DocOutput and R18_EM_ReportingExtract
components contain non-T24 objects. The relevant .zip files need to be removed from the update pack
before running T24 Updater tool and installed manually in the environment. Please refer to the External
Components Installation section at the end of this document for more details.

What’s New in Release R18.3

Core Banking
NEW Ref. 3049120: Configuration of Customer Data Protection module
The CDP (Customer Data Protection) module is now configured as part of the Community Banking model
bank.

FIX Ref. 3054433: OFS reference for statement narratives

This fixes a problem in getting parent OFS transaction reference on AA account statements.

FIX Ref. 3099563: Teller position for user with multiple tills assigned
This fixes a problem in displaying teller position enquiry, where a user has assigned more than one till.

FIX Ref. 3123698: Deposit principal not included in display

This fixes a problem in deposit schedule enquiry, where deposit principal was not displayed under total
payment column, for deposits with maturity instruction as “close”.

NEW Ref. 3145823: Accelerator enhancements

This new functional pack contains several features now configured in the Community Banking
environment: card management, mandates / signatures, customer vulnerability, and a few smaller
enhancements. Please refer to the user guides for more details about these functionalities.

NEW Ref. 3145823-2: Collections module

This item contains configuration of the collections (CL) module. Please refer to the user guide for more
details about the new functionality.

NEW Ref. 3145823-3: Customer consent module

This item contains configuration of the customer consent management (CK) module. Please refer to the
user guide for more details about the new functionality.

NEW Ref. 3145823-4: SWIFT module

This item contains configuration of the SWIFT payments (SF) module. Please refer to the user guide for
more details about the new functionality.

NEW Ref. 3145823-5: External arrangements module

This item contains configuration of the AA External Arrangements (AX) module. Please refer to the user
guide for more details about the new functionality.

NEW Ref. 3145823-6: Temenos Payments module

This item contains configuration of the Temenos Payments (PP, PI) modules. Please refer to the user

FIX Ref. 3046157: Customer portfolio view
This fixes misplacement of columns in Customer Portfolio View enquiry (available from classic menu).

FIX Ref. 3058602: Teller transaction 71 update

This fix updates definition of TELLER.TRANSACTION record 71 – removing denomination input.
This solves a problem found during online account closure.

FIX Ref. 3076496: Customer mnemonic generation

This fixes a problem in customer mnemonic generation, where first line of SHORT.NAME ends with
space and second line contains special (non-SWIFT) characters.

FIX Ref. 3076826: Weekend days in extended loan repayment schedule

This fixes a problem with weekend days display in the extended loan repayment schedule enquiry, where
weekend days are defined differently than Saturday / Sunday.

FIX Ref. 3136295: Historical dividend points calculation

This fixes a problem in calculating dividend points in a scenario where the recalculation is back-dated to
the year preceding the last financial year.

Role Based Menus

NEW Ref. 3145823-1: Accelerator Role Based Home Pages
This contains new role based home pages configured specifically for accelerator environments. Please
refer to user guides for more details.

Task Management
FIX Ref. 3104757: Selection of users for task reassignment
With this fix, when reassigning tasks to users, the system will use the real (server) date for extracting
active user profiles, instead of the bank (T24 environment) date.

FIX Ref. 3107950: Image upload task not on Single Customer View
This fixes a problem in image verification tasks generated after image upload, where such task did not
appear under Single Customer View, only on the main dashboard.

Officer Management
FIX Ref. 3045303: Bulk officer change in multi-company environment
This fixes a problem with bulk officer change services configuration in a multi-company environment.

Product Builder
FIX Ref. 3021208: Payment schedule disbursement negotiation
This fixes a problem with negotiating disbursement options during contract input for products created
without automatic disbursement flag.

FIX Ref. 3079098: Deposit products with dot in name

This fixes a problem in deposit product builder, where creation of AA charge conditions failed for product
with dot in name.

Loan Origination
FIX Ref. 3145503: Payment schedule stage in deposit product builder
This fix improves dynamic fields switching in the payment schedule stage of deposit product builder.

Document Output
FIX Ref. 3145152: Mapping of dates in Statement document
This fix changes mapping of booking/value dates in the XML document for Statement template – to use
default YYYYMMDD format without regional formatting.

FIX Ref. 3147077: Account number length in WelcomeLetter document

This fix changes format of account number from numeric to text, to allow very long account numbers in
mapping.

Reporting
ENH Ref. 3051083: List of customers with share accounts
A new report is introduced to list customers (members) with share accounts.

Channels
ENH Ref. 3064397: Automatic external user creation
With this enhancement, the system will automatically create internet banking arrangement,
channel permission records (in live file) and unauthorised external user record for a new customer
created in the environment.

FIX Ref. 3144666: Verify image tasks

This fixes a problem where image verification tasks were not generated for images uploaded from TCIB.

External Components Installation

EM_BrowserCustomization
The EM_BrowserCustomization component contains images and stylesheet for the browser
(BrowserWeb.war) application, for proper display of the Inclusive Banking Suite role based home pages.
The following is the folder structure of this component:

This whole structure needs to be copied into the BrowserWeb.war application installed in the web server
in the environment, replacing any existing files.

EM_DocOutput
The EM_DocOutput component contains jasperreport libraries for producing PDF documents, sample
document templates and images, and repository PDF viewer application.

Document Output / Jasperreports Libraries

The document output / jasperreports libraries from the DocOutputLibs/jars/DocumentOutput folder:

Should be copied into the t24lib/DocumentOutput folder of a TAFJ environment (keeping the above folder
structure), and then the libraries need to be configured in the com.temenos.do modules.xml file.

Document Output Support Files

The files included in the DocOutputSupportFiles should be copied into the main T24DocumentOutput
module folder, as defined in the Document Output main parameter file in the T24 environment (example
path below):

Document Output Repository Viewer

The PDF repository viewer can be installed in a TAFJ environment in two ways:
 As a standalone DocRepoWebApp.war application in jboss
 As a BrowserWeb.war plugin (recommended)

The two options are described below.

DocRepoWebApp Application
This web application should be manually deployed in jboss.

Some configuration changes are required to point the repository viewer to where the PDF documents
generated from T24 are stored – this is manual task – edit web.xml file below:

And update the below parameters to the same paths that are defined on the main Document Output
parameter file in T24 (DO.PARAMETER).

BrowserWeb Plugin
This method requires the DocRepo.jar library to be copied into the BrowserWeb.war/WEB-INF/lib folder,
and the following changes should be done in the BrowserWeb.war/WEB-INF/web.xml file (at the end of
<context-param> section) – the paths should be set to the document output locations from the main
Document Output parameter file in T24.

Then after the <servlets> tag, the following should be added:

EM_ReportingExtract
The EM_ReportingExtract component contains sample SQL scripts (for PostgreSQL database) to create
external reporting database structure and sample batch files to import extracted data from csv files into
the reporting database, and documentation.
The following is the folder structure of this component:

The installation guide for this component is available in the Documentation folder –
IBS_R17_Data_Extract_Installation_Guide_v0.3.pdf.
