Post Test - INTACC2

The post-test will assess how well you understand the topics covered in the module, including all units. It will count for 15% of the total grade. POST-TEST

Your post-test is the synthesis part of the course, wherein you will be assessed in terms of how well
you understand the topics discussed in the module. It will include all units.
As stated in your course syllabus this post-test is 15% of your grade.

Essay: For each item, write your answers on sheets of yellow paper use as many as needed.
Except when citing provisions of PAS/PFRS, explain your answers in your own words.

You will be graded based on:


Content accuracy 40%
Completeness 20%
Organization of thoughts 20%
Clarity 20%
TOTAL 100%

1. Discuss Property, plant & equipment and describe how it is accounted for.
(Include what its nature is, when to recognize costs as PPE, how is it measured, what are the
different classes, what different methods are involved, standards applicable and other relevant
details you feel is important in understanding the item)

Your answer may include diagrams, illustrations, concept maps and computation guides as
deemed appropriate.
50 points

2. The same requirement as number 1, except the subject of the essay is “Intangible Assets”.
25 Points

3. The same requirement as number 1, except the subject of the essay is “Investment Property”.
25 Points

4. What do you think is the reason why there are many depreciation methods generally accepted in
accounting for property, plant and equipment?

Can we not agree to use one for all items of PPE? Do you agree? Why or why not?

5. If you were to start a business, among the assets covered by this topic,
what asset will you prioritize acquiring?
Why is it more important than the others you did not choose?
